Batman: Arkham Asylum New Edition

The artwork is really different, soothing but in a dark way.. a must buy for DC fans.. :).. go for the hardcover if you have money! Worth it!

Thank you for this masterpiece. Truly the best Batman story I have ever read, or been witness to, in any form of media. An education in psychology. I have faced myself too, vicariously through Batman, and for the first time in a long time, I look forward to what comes next.

If you like psychological deep dive into characters that have traumatic past and do not shy away from digging a little deeper than one-dimensional hero-villain stories, this is it. Sit back, breathe and dive in because it'll be trippy and will raise some good questions on sanity. Batman's rogue gallery is already pretty messed up in their heads but this story gives you a piece of their insanity and the past of Bruce Wayne's maternal side, the Arkhams. But again, don't pick it up if you don't like abstract style of art or unhinged portrayal of characters because none of the characters in this book look anything like their conventional forms.

Although the comic is great but the copy I received had a cut, probably from a paper cutter on the border. It’s a proper slash cut on the binding edge of the comic. Now I need to fix it with some glue 🫤

Really like the inclusion of refrence sketches and and the first draft of the comic, Some points that were never added can be found there like Joker wearing a Dress and having even more Homosexual tendencies. Pretty much a Must buy for any Batman fan, you can skip it if ur in continuity comic collection cuz this isn't considered canon.

Definitely one of the greatest and darkest graphic novels I've ever read... Go for it.

Crazy story and illustration. But was expect More!!

DC Compact edition is not a good way to experience this book Joker's Dialogues are barely legible in the version . Go for the digital or Hardcover versions.

Although the panels are sometimes difficult to understand and the story could seem rushed in some parts, this story is wonderful, creepy, and very well done, I love how it analyzes everybody's psyche, even The Arkham Asylum Himself. Also this edition is very complete and full of stuff, for this price it is a very good purchase

Zeer leuke collectie. In deze uitgave zijn de lettertjes soms wel echt klein geworden. Ze zijn ook niet altijd echt zwart/wit waardoor het lezen soms wat moeilijk is. Toch leuke kleine collectie in dit formaat naast de originele!

This graphic novel arrived just in time, And the condition of the book was great. The story is great and was written by one of my favorite writer's "Grant Morrison", And the art was spectacularly done by artist "Dave McKean". 8.75/10
