Worked great to transfer files from my laptop using MasterCAM / CIMCO editor to our older HAAS CNC mill. You just have to get the communication settings set up correctly.

Works for transferring files to older CNC machines
Worked for the older generation of fanuc OS (yasnac), transfering programs from computer using NCnet program to the CNC machine. I tried a whole bunch of different DB25 to USB plugs, and array of adapters from usb to serial to db25 in different orders and none of it worked, but the dull-modem cable that specifically says it works for the fanuc cnc machine was what worked for me.
