These are the best style of countersink and not easy to find. For the low price I don't expect top quality, but that's ok as I'm only using these for woodworking. So far they seem to run true and cut a clean vibration free countersink. There is some metal flashing left on them from the manufacturing but easily deburred. I'm quite happy with my purchase. They do take awhile to get here directly from China, but again, for this low price they are totally worth it to me. Jan 2017 update - These are proving out to be fine additions to my woodshop. They are so much smoother at both hand and power countersinking than any other type I've used. They do each operate within a range of sizes so I often find myself switching to a different size whereas my old standard V shaped countersink worked equally as bad on small to large holes. I'm really sold on these so going from 4 to 5 stars. Also, I've used them on steel and aluminum so they are hardened and may work just fine for those uses too. Jan.2018 update: Proved to be fine tools that work as well in mild steel as they do in wood. They have held up perfectly well for over a year so far in my shop being used with various hand held drill motors and on the drill press.

They produce very clean and chatter free countersinks. My only complaint is that they clog up with the chips from the workpiece. They do work better than my old rosette style countersink.

The short version is that if you are looking at a zero flute countersink you know exactly why you need it. These are neither exceptional, nor horrible. For the price it is difficult to complain, although I do want to point out that they ship loose in a bag so can and will dull each other. So like I said, a solid 3.5 star product. They came in acceptable condition and work reasonably on plastic, alu, etc. Haven't tried them on steel, but really if you're cutting anything other than mild steel what you want is probably carbide and you're not going to get a set of carbide zero flutes for 13$.

These or should I say this design work amazingly well for all applications chamfering, countersinking and deburring. Leaves a very clean cut and cuts very fast and predictable much better than my old countersinks with 4 or more cutting edges. I will see after some time if they hold up but for this price even if they don't, I'll replace them in order to have a working set on hand.

I have had several chamfer bits and these are the worst I have ever bought. They dull with mild steel and round -over the hole edge. Don't bother if you are working with iron

Like the title says, out of 8 total pieces, some cut well and some do not. In hindsight, I should have tested all the pieces immediately upon receipt and returned the ones which didn't cut well. But, for what they cost for a set compared to the $60 single one I got from Fastenal, I'd buy these again...just will test as soon as they are received. Lastly, this style of countersink bit has worked much better for me than the place-holder fluted-style ones that often come in drillbit sets.

To be honest I was very impressed by the durability of these countersinks , esp for the price. I've had my set for over 2 years and I use it weekly . I am leaving a review 2 years later because today I'm ordering 2 more kits before they don't sell them anymore at some point ! That's how much I like these...... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
