Quality Valve- Easy Install
Just what I needed! The quality of this valve is fine and it was an easy install. It's been 4 months and no problems. If you need one this is a good value.

Solid fit, good price, time will tell
I am giving 5 starts for initial ease of installation and fit. Time will tell whether or not these hold up compared to the major brand but I am hopeful. Process was straight forward and I made sure to use silicone grease on the gasket. Perhaps I should have taken away a star for lack of included screws but my original ones were in good condition so I didn't care.

First Pentair 2" CPVC Check Valve 263042
The rubber part of the flapper on the check valve between our pump and the cartridge filter in our pool system was falling apart; chlorine is very hard on rubber and plastic components. I was not sure which model replacement valve I needed, because the label was missing from the in-place check valve. I counted the number of screws and took a chance that this was the correct one. I didn't not want to pay $65 for a Pentair version, so I opted for this cheaper version. I had a bit of problem installing it - as mentioned in another review, the o-ring does not seat firmly in the cover; if the screws aren't perfectly snug, it will leak. I did not want to chance breaking the plastic by torquing down the screws, so I slowly tightened each screw, alternating between the 6 screws, until no water leaked out. For this I deducted one star. It fits well, and no water leaks from the cartridge filter when the pump shuts off. Maybe my system is different from others that left bad reviews that the flapper let water leak through, but I've had no problems. It has been installed about 6 weeks and is still working well.

Great replacement for Pentair Check Valve flappers
With the cost of Pentair rebuild flappers, I was happy to try this alternative. The ATIE products came well packaged and in great shape. I used some pool O-ring lubricant on the included O-ring and did not have any trouble getting a good seal. The ATIE rebuild check valves fit precisely and went on easily. It is best to hand tighten the screws to achieve a good seal while not over-tightening and risking a crack. These rebuild kits a are a great value and I highly recommend them.

Poor Cover Design and Loose O-ring Seal
When I turn off the pump, water leaks out. Why? I compared the ATIE and Pentair 263042Z products side by side. As suspected, the cover O-ring clings tight to the Pentair but is loose on the ATIE cover. Perhaps the leak will go away if I use a smaller diameter O-ring than ATiE uses. (Still a cost saving over Pentair.) No. It's more than that. To accommodate a larger spring and hinge for the flapper, they cut holes in the plastic ring which mates with the main housing. (See the product picture with red arrows.) Bad idea. Water shoots through those openings when the pump is turned off. That's too much for the loose o-ring to stop. ATIE should use a shorter bolt and remove the holes in the plastic ring. I'm surprised this design choice wasn't flagged by ATIE designers before they started selling it.

Great value
Was slightly different that the flap that was in my housing. Looks like it's built better and works perfectly to repair my broken flap.
