I cut up and shred onions, carrots, cabbage and With tomatoes, or even onions, if I don't want to blend into a puree in a blender, this one can do it easily, leaving my blender just for the fruits. The consistencies are your choice. With the other non-juicy vegetables, the level of shredding you want is based on how many times you pull it. The size is a smart choice - Big for one person's daily cooking maybe but when you have guests over - still can make good quantities. Easy to wash and store. Love it!
