I purchased this for connecting my MacBook pro to my 4k monitor and it works well.

May be good for other use case, not good to connect to a dock station
The quality of cable seems good, for charging and display, based on the other reviews. The transfer rate, i double, used this cable to connect to lenovo docking station and the ethernet port on docking station keeps dropping. Bose soundlink Mini connected to docking station via 3.5mm also keep dropping audio and stops working completely. So make sure that you do not use this cable for such use case.
