Quite pleased with this
I agonised over whether I needed to own and store an A3 scanner and whether it would be good enough quality at this price. I've now scanned many documents at 600 and 1200 dpi and am quite happy with the results. I use Linux Simple scan most and it just works.

Looking for a cheap A3 scanner? This ain't it.
I bought this, hoping to get an affordable A3 scanner. I saw the other reviews mentioning the bad color balance and thought it couldn't be THAT bad. It was worse. Every scan had washed out colors and had a very yellow hue. Adjusting the image in the included software did little and I just couldn't get it anywhere close to the actual thing being scanned. My scanner/printer combo was more accurate and didn't require post-processing. Scans also had streaks in them where they don't exist on the physical item. And it's not a case of a dirty scanning area; this was straight out of the box. Even worse is that I strongly suspect this isn't a true A3 scanner. Every scan, even a blank white piece of paper, had a 1-pixel line down it, exactly where the middle of the scanner is, in one of the aforementioned streaks. I'm guessing the scan bar is made of two units and the images are joined in post. This line makes it absolutely useless for the archiving job I bought it for. Save your money and hope for a deal on one from an established brand.

This can scan typing or legal paper, blus scan art for artists. Has lots of special auto features.
I recently got it. I tested out just to see it works. I am impressed at all the features it has. I am an artist and I needed a scanner that folds open at the short end not the horizontal sides. This will be easier to scan sections of large artwork I do to peace back together in Photoshop. I read the instructions and it is a feather where it says it can scan sections together. If this is true I won't have to open up Photoshop to piece together scanned sections of large art. This scanner is about same width as typing paper but longer then 11" typing paper. So it will easil scan legal paper. I am very impressed with all the features this scanner has. It is amazing. I hope they all work.

No DVD inbox
The packaging was good. Pulled out everything started reading the directions. I couldn't get it loaded onto my computer. Had to ask my son to come over to see if he can get it to load onto my computer. Took him about an hour and a half to get it set up. He had to go and get the information off the internet. And downloaded everything from there. On the box it said I was supposed to get a dvd with instructions on it. Never received. It was very disappointed that it took as long as it did to get it set up.

Durable, easy to use, and a great value
My son was looking for larger scanners to scan large books and projects. This one is a great value for the money and works well and is very easy to use. Durable, with a quick scanning speed. The image quality is great and is compatible with his Dell desktop computer and laptop.

Noisy, but faster than a printer/scanner, caution with fluorescent colors.
The scanner I bought goes up to 1200 resolution, but as my go to choice is 600 resolution, it’s fine. My biggest note is that it’s very noisy, the scanner moves at a good steady speed, but it makes a squeaking noise as it does. It doesn’t bother me, since the scan is done so quick. I’ve added an artwork I drew and scanned. One other very minor note, I sometimes use fluorescent markers, they look very different when scanned then to the eye. I have yet to scan them as I see them, but it sorta makes sense given fluorescent colors are reactive to environmental light. The work around I’m currently testing is mixing the fluorescent colors with another similar color, it dulls the color but makes it easier to capture in scan form my test so far. This is demonstrated in the image, the sun in the first half is a fluorescent orange, the sun beams mixed with a pale yellow color, and are closer to the color I see with my eyes. The moon in the second half is also a fluorescent color, & The second image is the photo of the same art. Overall it’s a blessing to finally have a scanner again. I can share my art at high resolution, or in smaller dimensions but exactly the same image.

Very very happy would recommend
I was having a hard time finding a scanner that was large enough for 11x17 scans that put out TIF and other high quality formats. I do graphite work and the scans are spot on. Software was easy to install and work with. Occasionally glitchy and needs a restart but I love it for the price.

buy cheap, get cheap
this arrived pretty quickly, I unpacked it and connected it and Windows 10 didn't say nothing, didn't say it recognized it or anything. Uh oh bad sign, this. I had downloaded the exe files from their web site cuz I don't got no CD-Rom and the exe file installed everything quickly. The interface surprised me, it looked exactly as the interface of the old EPSON scanner I have been using for over 5 years now. This will be easy I thought cuz I knew this interface. Well, after ONLY just 8 scans, the problems began. The transfer window that shows me the transfer stopped working and is now only showing 0%. The scans DO get scanned and placed on the drive. For a while the scanner would scan blanks and I couldn't figure why. At about 15 scans a vertical line appeared on the right side of the scans. The scans are kinda gray and I have to lighten them in photoshop, brighten the colors and so on. I am accustomed to doing that, I have been scanning for over 20 years, so i expect that to occur. Cheap as s*h*t scanner! DO NOT buy! I will be returning it!
