AmeriTop Motion Sensor Light Bulb- 2 Pack, 10W(60W Equivalent) 806lm Motion Activated Dusk to Dawn Security LED Bulb; UL Listed, A19, E26, Auto On/Off Indoor Outdoor Lighting (2700K Soft White)

I've been using this bulb for over 7 months now and it's still working great. It's in an area of my basement, by the laundry area and food storage, that we access countless times a day, every day. The light comes on exactly as it should and stays on for the perfect amount of time. I've tried multiple options to light this area - including a smart motion sensor and smart bulb - but the AmeriTop bulb is the first solution that works the way I want it to. I have it in a basic clamp lamp, without the shade. The light is bright, but pleasing - not harsh.

I bought these to replace a pantry lightbulb so I didn't have to always pull the cord to turn it on. I had tried a motion detection socket but it didn't always detect motion and so I'd have to wav at it tome it work. This bulb,however, does the job perfectly. The light comes on a soon as the door is opened and stay on long enough to get what I needed. If I stand and search it may go off, but a quick wave turns it back on. I was concerned at first the dawn to dusk feature would prevent it form working well during the day; but the pantry is dark enough to make the bulb turn on day or night. I found this build to be a good solution and value.

Got my order yesterday. Tested both bulbs and both work. So, out of 6, 5 have worked flawlessly and 1 hasn't. The first 2 I bought I've been using more than a year with NO problem... Would buy again. I did buy again. I bought 2 about a year ago and bought 2 more about a month ago. The 2 I bought about a year ago are still working and work great. The 2 I bought about a month ago, only 1 works... one lights up when I initially screw in for about 15 seconds, but it doesn't trigger by any motion... and I don't know how to contact anyone to have it replaced, so the 2 I bought first have both been working for more than a year... I'm guessing the bulbs may have been dropped and the motion detector in the end of the bulb damaged... so I will try to contact someone and see if I can get the bad bulb replaced and order 2 more and hope they are better handled. I gave 4 stars because of the bad bulb, otherwise I would have given 5...

Corrected review: (I deleted a review for the color changing bulbs) This is my 2nd order for these extremely useful motion sensing bulbs. I put them in recessed fixtures in our 9' ceiling. The main issue, is they'll turn off if you stand too long looking into the hall closet! Also I used aluminum tape to narrow the detection range when needed. (See picture)

bought these as I bought a new outlet for outside that was motion detector, thought (I should not think sometimes!) these were what was needed, my electrician laughed (in fun) and put in correct lights then put these in my other outside lights. they are really nice

I ordered the GE USA bulbs but was rerouted? I took a chance on safe low seat in banquet bulbs to save money and not have my stuff desireable for scrutiny by my kiddos and they are really good but seem to have too short of a time on for my use in bathroom to save on money and thinking. I was in shower and it was disco. I was in dark scared. I like the ones where you can pick timer time on of a few minutes or five or whatever. Good bulb but I wanted to support GE comeback for trump. I just need a three minute on or five or what I select good enough.

Great so far, right color temp and correctly works dawn to dusk only triggered via motion detection, so I can leave the light “on” all of the time confident that it won’t shine on the neighbors all night except when someone comes to the door. Will update on how long it lasts.

These bulbs are great for someone who often forgets to turn off lights. They produce a soft white light (as indicated on package) but very adequate light. I use these inside in my can light fixtures in hallways. I tried two at first and immediately ordered two more. These, however, did not work well in my closet because the light fixture is two bulbs facing sideways so the motion detector could not work properly. Not any fault of the bulb, but of the fixture itself. So keep in mind your light fixture configuration. The motion detection range is great. I have one light in a small hall between a bath and bedroom with a 16" wall header and it picks me up when I am about 6 feet away (see photo). The only problem I had in my configuration is that the light only stays on for about 30 seconds. This is okay for my hallway use, but I tried one in my laundry room and when I stood in front of my washer/dryer to transfer my clothes with only arm movement (feet from the bulb) it would shut off. But all that to say that I have four installed in my house where they work well in my hallway areas.

Exactly what it’s supposed to do! My outside lamp is covered both on top and on bottom. It works perfectly! Don’t really understand the complaints here. Maybe some received defective bulbs? I also think you need to understand that it ONLY works when it’s dark outside. If there is too much light, it won’t work. AND you need to leave the switch on at all times 😁.

Genius inventions, to light up areas that don't need constant light on for example using the light to use the washroom at night, works better than floor motion sensor lights, as this gives a brighter light and covers a larger surface area because of the light coming from ceiling. Motion sensor is super sensitive if completely exposed to the environment around, if using in the bedroom put it in one corner and not the ceiling otherwise I toss and turn in the bed will activate it multiple times at night. TIPS-for using in a lamp, which directs light upwards remove the shade. Works best when Close to darkness. May or may not function when it's dusky outside or on rainy days unless it's very dark. Good product. Very sensitive. Works fine outdoors in Canada although I think sometimes it is too sensitive (gets set off by steam from the dryer vent etc)

I always thought motion sensor lights were a special purchase. I live alone and sometimes I hear noises at night I like to know if something is on my deck. I love these because I no longer leave the lights on all night, but the lights are indeed motion triggered. Just screw into any light fixture. I am using these outdoors, I have not tried indoors.
