Does the 2013-2014 product still contain barium (Canadian recall) and do the 2013-2014 paints still peel off?

No...there is not a recall on this, nor does the paint chip off. The only problems i've had is that the glue that holds the posts on and the wheels on, is very weak and within a few playings, it all falls apart.

Is this good for 7 months old? Or is it too early for this kind of toys?

Too early. The pieces may be too small and a 7 month old likes to put things in their mouth.🌝

Unsere Tochter (14 Monate) fand die Eisenbahn schon toll, als sie noch in der Verpackung war. Dadurch, dass sie auf Karton eingeschweißt war, konnte sie sie sehen und sie durch die Gegend schieben. Ausgepackt ist sie natürlich noch spannender, da sie in ihre Einzelteile zerlegt werden kann. Die Teile rochen nach dem Auspacken etwas, was sich nach dem ersten feuchten Abwischen aber gab. Die Farbe ist nicht so haltbar, bereits vor der ersten Benutzung hatten die bunten Steine an das helle Holz abgefärbt. Die Steine sind sehr handlich und die Wagen lassen sich gut schieben. Es gibt mehrere Möglickeiten, die Steine aufzustecken und man kann die Doppelten als "Brille" verwenden. Es sind auch dreieckige Steine dabei, bei denen das aufstecken schwieriger ist und die Halbrunden kann man zum Wippen bringen. Dadurch großer Spaßfaktor. Versand war problemlos und schnell. Habe sie gleich nochmal bestellt um sie zu verschenken.
