Is the wig as shown in the picture or is it braided as written in the description

The wig looks exactly like the picture. It is not a braid. It is a long ponytail with three gold pony tail holders. Very cute!

The wig has the hook drawstring feature so although the crown might be a bit large for a child you could cinch it tighter. The hairline might not look right as it might be too far down the child’s forehead though.

The strap goes at the bottom of the wig to secure it and they connect to each-other
