Nice product. I wish it came with a string that never disintegrated on chlorine water

seems to work well...not sure how long before the pool water breaks down the case...the string will not stand the pool water for long....it will break after the season....secure it with stronger material or take it out for the winter...

Easy to read

From the minute I put this thermometer in the pool it wasn’t registering accurately. It was reading about 4 degrees too high. Then suddenly two days after I first started using it the temperature started at 90 degrees, then 20 minutes later was 100 degrees. It’s obviously a very poor quality thermometer if it doesn’t even last 3 days.

I compared the temperature that this pool thermometer read to a calibrated thermometer in a typical pool temp water bath of 75­­° and found that it reads exactly 75°. So, from an accuracy standpoint, it seems perfect. Next, I also had the problem of many reviewers that said it tends to float horizontally on top of the water, but found that it only happens to me when I randomly "toss" it into the pool. If you hold it by the wide top and just push it a few inches into the water and then let go, it sinks and bobs vertically in the water just fine. So, if you compare the price of this to a similar one I see in my local pool store, this one is less expensive and saves me a trip. What else could I want?

Works great, still going strong in 3rd season

This worked fine for about 2 years but after that the cylinder broke away from its mounting for no apparent reason (the solder came loose). So the cylinder containing the colored liquid was no longer lined up with the temperature scale so you can't get an accurate reading. At least it didn't fog up

...c'est celui qu'il vous faut ! Une très longue recherche qui a enfin abouti après de mauvais achats ! Enfin un thermomètre LISIBLE !...même pour les presbytes ! Envoyé beaucoup plus rapidement qu'annoncé, flotte bien, seul handicap : le cordons est trop court, le double de longueur serait parfait pour l'attacher au couvercle de l'écumoire.

The cord disintegrated in the water within a week. But otherwise it’s a decent thermometer

Worked great for 3 months last summer. Stored in a dry basement over the winter, only to find the internal tube had completely detached over the winter. Now utterly useless, cheap junk.
