My Pentair Mastertemp 250 had a service heater light on and never tried to fire when turned on, flipped the lid off of it and looked at the main board and had an HLS light lit up. Few reasons that comes up but the heater should fire then kick off for those (unless the thermostat got stuck in the open position). Since mine was not even firing it seemed like the only thing it could be was the switch. To validate I used a simple piece of 16ga wire and wired between the two spade connectors and it fired right up. That means my switch was shot. Thought about ordering the Pentair replacement switch but it would be a week and a half. This came in less than 2 days and it fixed the issue. The outer bolt (what you put your socket on) is different than the OEM one however the thread size is the same so it works. $15 fix instead of a $3000 replacement. Seems like a good deal to me.

Worked perfectly as a direct replacement. Easy install, and my heater is back up and running with no issues. Seems to be quality made.

Cheap brass quality. Top cap connection piece broke off the threaded body before I could thread it in all the way into the manifold with minimal torque. Now I have the threaded body stuck in the manifold.

Whatever product you used as a thread wrap fell off as soon as I tried to thread the switch (it was not a tape wrap) - so I had to re-wrap the threads. The HLS switch seems to be working fine.
