Looking to reduce noise for an office door way, how is the noise reduction?

I bought these for noise reduction and they have almost zero effect. I would not purchase these if you are trying to reduce noise. I am looking for a better solution.

Does it help reducing noise (from musical instrument) from inside of the house? i don't want to bother my neighbors with me playing the trumpet.

I would agree with the previous comment about reducing noise. I specifically bought this product to reduce the noise in my office. Mainly though for the opposite effect you are wanting. I am wanting to not hear my children running around while I am working. However I can hear my child cough softly on the other side of our 3k sq ft house through these "Noise reducing" curtains. I would say they have no effect, hence why I am promptly returning them.

How wide of a window would this fit? We have a 60" wide window

These curtains come as a set. Each panel is 52" wide. so that's 104" total for a 60" wide window. You want some gather at the top for a fuller look. I hope this helped you.
