At first I had my doubts to the durability to this rod as it was full graphite and very flimsy looking. So I decided to do a field test at drop off near the beach. I was amazed at its cranking power. This rod was tougher than it looks and very much so for a full graphite ul. It was perfect, I pumped out a 1kg wrasse that dove down into a hole. My only complaint was how they packed the rod. They stuck the upper half into the back of the bottom half's guide. Took me awhile to remove it without fracturing the upper half. Otherwise I am very please. An advise to using this rod is to pair it with a ul reel. Many complain their ul rods are fragile but their reels just have too much power that the rod cant handle. Make sure that your reels are suitable. For me I pair mine with a Hunter Me 500. Last word is that the price does this rod justice. Totally recommend it.

Great little spinning rod (can be used for drop shotting) Very well made , nice real cork handle, good reel fittings, cast very well, was a bit dubious about the S/S rings but they work fine with a small fixed spool and 8lb braid. Already had a small pike on this and the feel was great. This is a must have rod for the lure fisherman at silly money.

A really great rod for the money or so I thought. The action and weight are spot on. However, after using it on probably only 5 fishing trips for pan fish the rod tip broke off about 4 inches down the shaft. While I'm sure I was part to blame trying to remove the line from a snag I've never had a rod snap like that without undo weight and or some mishap.

Very good quality UL rod on budget. The Shakespear brand always makes quality long lasting material and this rod doesn’t disappoint. If you are looking for the most flexible and bendable UL rod out there this micro series is the one. At 7”6” feet this rod bends on a rock bass like if you have a massive musky on your line. Maybe a bit too flexible for my taste though. It came in a large box, very well protected. It is the first time they ship a rod with a large piece of cardboard glued around the end tip to protect it from breaking. Unfortunately I had to return because the rod came in 1 month late and I bought another one instead. Still, this rod is unbeatable for it’s price. You just need to take extra care of it because of the fine tip that is easily breakable.
