I’ve been using the Icy Hot Medicated Patch (Extra Strength) for lower back pain, and it’s become a staple in my first aid kit. The large size is perfect for covering a wide area, and unlike some other brands, these actually stay adhered even if you’re moving around or sleeping.The "Icy" sensation kicks in almost immediately to dull the sharp pain, followed by a steady "Hot" feeling that really helps relax tight muscles. I love that they are mess-free and don't have that overwhelming medicinal smell that lingers on your clothes. It’s a much more convenient alternative to creams when you're on the go.

I’ve bought dozens of these and they are my go-to for muscle pain. I have hypermobility issues that cause frequent back and neck issues and these patches often keep me from having to take ibuprofen. I leave them on all day or night (they stay stuck on very well!) and have had zero skin reactions. I like the large size because if I should need a smaller patch, I can just cut it with a scissors. I do almost always have to grab another family member to put it on my back because they are so sticky you need to be precise.
