Glow Plug Igniter
I needed glow plug igniters for my Helicopters 🚁 and these were recommended by one of the other pilots. I bought two of them (always have a spare) put in AA batteries and they worked the entire day no issues getting on the glow plug or off. They are now part of my flight box. Nuff said.

I use it 3x more than my Great Planes meter ignitor...
Here's the key: get yourself a pack of AA NiMH rechargeable batteries, preferably 2000mAh or higher capacity. Keep them charged and in your field box. Change them out as they run down. Unless you're killing batteries in your futile attempt at getting a glow engine to run due to inexperience or ineptitude, this thing works great. But honestly, I don't know why you'd need to change batteries much at all. I don't understand how folks can't get it to work at all, or can't get it to last more than a few times. I rarely have to swap batteries for a day at the flying field, and it's absolutely painless to do so. This one makes better contact than my GP ignitor, lasts longer with a good rechargeable AA, and is smaller and easier to use/keep in a pocket.

Works ok
The battery doesn't always make connection for some reason but it works fine 90% of the time. The AA battery is convenient but doesn't last terribly long and I learned to keep a spare battery on hand at all times

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
If I could give this product negative reviews, I would. I spent literally 2 weekends a total of 20+ hours troubleshooting my RC cars. They worked when I put them away, but I couldn't find the ignitor. I ordered this one and it simply does not get the glow plug hot enough. The plug glows red but not enough to start the engine. Ordered new parts, rebuilt engines, and troubleshoot everything every which way possible because of a cheap ignitor that doesn't work. Save yourself the trouble and spend the extra $10 to get a better one.

Get the 16$ one
Build quality is nice, good CNC work. Its lightweight and the concept is good. But as you can see in my video, its lacking. Killed all of my brand new AA batteries and couldnt maintain a high enough heat on the plug to run. My .18 motor isnt a lot to handle. But the plug never got hot enough to keep running. Would only run if left on the ignitor And thats not good for battery life. Modified it for an external NiMH battery 900mah at 1.4 actual working volts, works just fine now.

Decent product
Doesn't heat up the plug as much as I want but it's good as a back up

Use only as a backup. Use 2500mah rechargable batteries.
Update july 3rd 2020. Finaly got some fuel to get trucks out. Ended up using this igniter all afternoon and it lasted on the same rechargable battery. Was actualy impressed. It was handy as a back up as my original one would not charge. Update july 3rd 2019. This igniter is working good with the 2500mah duracell batteries. Had stored in toolbox for a couple months and it worked without a recharge. Used it to start my truck a few times that day with no issues. Changing from 4 stars to 5. Its still a back up but it did exactly what i wanted it for. Like the fact it came within 2 days. Its a nice size to carry around. It will only be a back up due to it dont last long on a battery like other reviews said. I purchased it any way after reading those reviews. It works best with a rechargable battery. You can charge the battery with a standard charger from anouther glow igniter to if you dont have a AA charger handy. I do this with a C cell igniter i use all the time. Had an old rechargable igniter fail and kept the charger for this reason. Update. Oct27. I purchased 2500mah rechargable batteries and the igniter works much better. My other batteries were 2250 mah and a couple years old. I baught all new 2500mah batteries for my truck and notice a difference. Maybe batteries were weak. Gave 4 stars instead of 3.

Works, does what it says
Like the fact it works but doesn’t have a retention to hold the spring it can just be pulled off maybe that’s a feature for cleaning it not sure but different branded models I’ve had are usually staked in place small inconvenience but why I gave it 4 not 5 stars p
