Slipstreamer S-06C Motorcycle Windshield, Clear

Ok, bought a 2021 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and man this windshield looked great on it! Make sure you know the size of your handlebars, some are 1 1/4", 1" or 7/8" diameter. The Slipstreamer S-06C comes with plastic handlebar inserts that can be used to help secure the mounting bracket to a smaller handlebar. Took me about 10-12 minutes then a some time to adjust to secure minimum wind buffeting..Its easy to work with so adjust it to your preference (as needed) Its a great windshield and helps to reduce wind buffeting on chest area etc.. (depending on where you align the screen)

My wife rides a 1986 kawasaki en450 (454ltd). She loves riding, but has since figured out that when the sun is going down, the bugs can feel like you are getting pelted with BB's. I bought this and put it on the bike. It was an easy install and I can see that it would fit probably just about anything. It doesn't cover as much area in front of your body as I thought it would, but it definitely looks good and fits well on the smaller bikes. It works just like a windshield should. It doesn't vibrate and is very sturdy. Good buy for the money.

cons:- First off all, the item comes with a usermanual that isn't very clear.However the mounting kit is very simple to fix (no usermanual needed).- On my 2005 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 (already with 1" riser on the handlebar), the bottom bars that hold the shield in place where damaging my speedometer, when cornering sharply. I had to work quite hard to have 1/8th in play between the speedometer and shield's holders (so that the shield holders would not damage the speedometer).- Manual does not specify max speed; though reported max speed has been 70MPH (still stable at those speeds).-The shield rests on 2 arms. Because of the configuration of my bike I was unable to adjust the shield so it could rest on the headlight. The only things keeping the shield from flying away, is the 2 metal holders/bars.The good:- It looks solid. Bars are made out of quality steel, not crappy plastic that you find on scooters.- Has rubber dampers between shield and holding points.- It fits snugly around the 1" handlebar.- Because I lowered the rear suspension, the shield comes just under my eyes (eyes still on the road). I believe it has a good height.- Comes with rubber strip for mounting on a 7/8" handlebars. (con would be that I had to mount the shield metal to metal, without rubber grip, however it seemed to fit snugly without problems).- Price! 50% cheaper than other shields out there!- Size! It's a nice and small size; Doesn't look like you're pushing a transparent castlegate; while at the same time keeps most of the wind away from you- Size! Because of it's smaller size, you don't feel like there's a separation between you and the air. It allows air to pass, not too much, but it doesn't feel like you're driving a 2 wheeled cager, with wind still behind the shield.- Fits perfectly on a Honda Shadow, or a VT750.- Is stable, tested upto 100MPH peak! Did not test it for prolonged time at these speeds, as I was in traffic, but the short bursts I rode 100MPH, the shield held quite fine!

I was wasn’t sure that at this price point of the quality of the windscreen but I was pleasantly impressed. I believe this item is actually made in the USA,btw. I do strongly suggest you read the directions first and acquaint yourself with all the parts. I’m 63.I can put a harness together. I can put a full bridle together. But machines aren’t my world. But I managed to put this together and on my bike in a fairly short time. And it looks great! Works great too. The directions are in pretty plain English and they even supply the Allen wrenches you need. I have a 1986 Honda Rebel and it’s not always easy to find accessories to fit it properly but this windscreen looks like it came factory fresh with it. I took it out once it was installed for a short 20 mile ride at different speeds. We have some horrible rough roads in my county,so if it was going to come loose it definitely would have. I rode at around 50mph-60+mph,which is my bike’s near max speed,and the windscreen worked perfectly just as it should. No shaking or anything and the day was pretty windy too. There is a great deal of adjustment as to how to put this on your bike,so if you have a bigger one,it would work too I think. I think this is a sturdy and useful little windscreen. They make it plain not to use anything harsh to clean it,so I did get a can of cleaner that Slipstreamer recommends but it was highly reviewed and seems a good investment. I keep a cover on my bike even though it lives in its own garage. The manufacturer recommends putting a towel over the windscreen if your cover doesn’t have a soft material inside. I used an old flannel pillowcase instead and that worked really well too. Just a suggestion. I like not being buffeted by the wind when I ride and this works well for that. I listen to music with speakers in my helmet and I even think that sounded better.I wasn’t sure about this product but I’m glad I took a chance. I think it was a good investment to make my riding even more enjoyable.

I expected this windshield to be larger in size than the actual product I received. I guess I overestimated the size based on the photo.However and to my surprise, the effect of this rather small product is great compared to no windshield, especially for people taking their Harleys for fast trips (high speeds) or through windy conditions. You don't get that feeling that the wind is dragging your body backwards off the bike.Price wise, it is quite cheap compared with other products from reputable manufacturers.The windshield is not as stable as I would have hoped it to be, but once the wind hits it, it doesn't really seem to move. The joints have not becomes loose due to vibration and wind effect, so it is quite stable on the motorbike.Installation is easy once you get the hang of it (which means you have to make some trial and error efforts to get the pieces combined together) and it is better to have someone help you to hold the windshield as you tighten the joints. It takes about 15-20 minutes for the entire process single handed, so some help would surely cut that time.The only thing I did not like is the installation guide paper that came with it. It is not clear at all and barely helps (except for the cleaning instructions). But I would not let it affect my overall satisfaction with this product.

I was challenged in finding a windshield that wouldn't ruin the look of my Shadow 750 but would still keep most of the wind away from my face. After looking at many I decided on this one due to its reasonable price and it wasn't too big. After MUCH adjusting of the position to try to find one that kept most of the wind away, I've settle on one and will keep it there for now.Good points: 1) It's fairly inexpensive, 2) it's very adjustable 3) it's easy to install.Not-so-good points: (1) The mounting system leaves a bit to be desired. It's just two holes cut into the plexiglass with a hand-tightened nut, so it moves back/forth about an inch at the top edge if you grab it and move it. It doesn't move that much while riding, so it's not a problem just not as sturdy as some others that I've seen with 4 mounting holes instead of just 2. (2) The vertical rods that hold it in place get scratched by the bolts that allow you to adjust it so now I have a lot of circle marks in places where I positioned it that didn't work well. This is because the rods are just painted and the paint scratches off easily.Perhaps I need a taller windshield because the position that worked the best for me (I'm 5'7") has the headlight cutout area about 5" above the headlight and the angle is about the same as the forks. This obviously leaves a large air gap but somehow there's a 'dead zone' around my head where all of the wind cancels out and it's a big improvement over no windshield at all. Other positions that I tried made it worse than nothing at all so be prepared to experiment a LOT after installing it to find that sweet spot for you.

Did not like wind pressure on my chest while riding my Rebel 1100 over 60 mph. Took wife's advice and tried this windshield before spending $200-400 on a larger one. Put it on and immediate improvement. It did take me several tries to get the hardware on in a way that would work. Then with small tweaks to height and tilt it is near perfect for my Rebel 1100. It is lower than my chin and tilted back quite a bit, but I can see over it very well and the wind goes over my head. No wind pressure on my chest and no wind buffeting of my head. I love it.The windshield was so good that I bought another for my cruiser. Cruiser had a large police-style windshield that protected my chest from wind pressure, but created severe wind buffeting of my head. Very unpleasant to ride over 50 mph for any length of time. That is the primary reason I bought the Rebel. I took the big windshield off and put this little one on and again there was immediate improvement. Again several tries to get hardware on so that it would work and many more tries to get windshield height and tilt correct. Again it is tipped back quite a bit, but I can see over it easily. Head buffeting gone and no wind pressure to chest. Cruiser now pleasant to ride. Probably would not have purchased Rebel if I had put this on my cruiser first. Glad I didn't--I love that Rebel. Greatly enjoy riding both bikes now. Who knew smaller could be better?

You can't argue the price, and it looks pretty good on my Vulcan S. It does offer a lot of adjustability, and is easy to assemble, but it isn't very big... again, given it's price, I wouldn't expect it to be. Only issue I had was that I didn't check for clearance with the posts near my tank, and although riding with it installed was fine, when I was trying to maneuver backwards into a parking spot the end of one post gouged into my tank paint. My own fault, so I'm not blaming Slipstreamer at all, but something to be sure of after installation is full handlebar rotation. Fortunately, it only took a set of branch shears to clip down the posts – I probably wound up chopping them in half, and can now angle the screen much lower for much more effective wind protection without a ton of helmet buffeting and noise. Nice that it's very easy to remove and still keep the brackets in place, so you can go naked if you want.
