Is it possible to lubricate the slides? The ruler, square and protractor are all very stiff to slide.

I returned this item due to the fact that it appeared to be poorly made

How does the right side of the parallel bar stay locked into place?

The first sentence of the item description indicates this. "Our drafting table is a complete A3 Drawing Board Work Station with a parallel motion that slides in a Groove, locking into place with finger buttons at either end". If yours is not locked on the right side and it moves freely there should be something stuck or damaged. When need to slide the rule first unlock the left side first, then press the right yellow bottom at the same time you slide the rule. If you don't doit in this way you can affect the effectiveness of the right lock system.

the board body size is: 20x14.56inch, it is suitable for A3 paper or smaller than A3

My choice is inch..not metric.

This drawing table now come on 2 versions one metric and one on inches. check well the specifications. ITs work well for me on both.
