To begin with the customer service has been truly invaluable ensuring complete customer satisfaction. There was a few items not packaged it did take a little while to get this resolved but that is too be expected. During this time I was kept posted until my item arrived. For those who are complaining regarding any filtration you may want to take a step back and give some patience. the filter in the small round dish that sits at the bottom of the LeDoux Water dispenser needs to soak in distilled water 15 minutes then shake under running water repeat this actin 4 to 5 times this will ensure your water does not have a dirt taste as I have seen in other reviews. Now for the middle seven layered filter and the white dome filter place each into its on separate clean plastic bowl covering each with distilled water for an hour. For those experiencing leakage at the spout you need gently hand tighten not strip the connectors. After all is assembled do two complete cycles of water dumping the water out after each of the two fillings. Now to test grab friends, family etc and fill one glass with your tap water and the other fill with water from your new LeDoux Water Dispenser. Blind fold the willing participates and let them choose the one that taste the best then the one with the most votes drink that water. Note monthly clean the two clear tanks that house the water and take a large toothbrush with no soap to clean the white dome filter. This is great as I have three teenage sons and friends and I no longer have to purchase cases of bottled water. I keep a gallon in the refrigerator for those who prefer it chilled it is your preference. Oh did I say no more picking up empty water bottles and the land fields will be happier as well!!! ENJOY!!

It can be a little challenging to put together (look out for the specialized instructions that the seller sends you later or just call them in advance of your delivery). The water tastes great and has saved me lots of money over buying the stale bottled alkaline water in Whole Foods store. I love this device. Update: After a couple of months of use my upper dome filter started filtering water through at a ridiculous rate into the bottom multi-filter eventually causing a back-up and huge spillage onto my kitchen counters. It took a while to work out with the customer service reps and in the process I used up my spare lower filter as well. Finally the day came when they replaced both the dome and the lower multi-filter and I reconstructed the whole apparatus. It is running at present but I have lowered my rating from five stars to three stars because the filters mis-performed after just a couple of months and reasonable use and care! I will update this rating within another couple of months as needed. I do appreciate that the Beverly Diamonds customer service reps communicated with me and stood behind the product and parts by replacing the defective parts. January, 2016 Update. Sorry folks but I have reduced the rating on this product to only 1 star! got the replacement parts and they worked for the same length of time - a couple of months and then the machine broke down again. Pools of water all over the counter top and on to my kitchen floor. This, despite reducing the usage of the machine by 75%! I went back to buying bottles of alkalized water thinking that we could use the machine less and still have a chance to get "fresher" alkalized water a couple of times a day - but the equipment still had the same breakdown as previously. We are very sad but it is going in the garbage bin, I cannot recommend this product to anyone.

UPDATE........The company had followed through with everything they said they would, and sent me the additional filters. I followed the instructions word for word when activating the new filter. Lone behold, my filter unit has stopped leaking, and works wonderfully. I absolutely love, love, love my filter system. I changed my review to 4 stores only because of the first initial upset of it leaking. I am super impressed with the company reaching out to me to identify and correct the issue. Not too many companies will do that nowadays. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone. Also wanted to mention that the plastic spigot I initially thought would get broken soon after my purchase, is still holding tough. We use this sucker every day, and it's even held up with my 2 yr old who can now reach the little spigot, and thinks it's great to push and pour water all over herself lol. ....The company contacted me based off my first initial poor review of this product. They asked me what my concerns were and what was defective wth the product. They have already refunded me partially, and are sending me a new filter, along with a couple replacement filters. They said they will Contact me on Friday to make sure the replacement filter has solved the issue, and if not, they said they'll send a brand new replacement product. I was very surprised, and happy with the company taking the time to reach out to me. I honestly never expected it. Great customer service. I will be keeping an eye out for my replacement filter, which I really hope solves the problem. I like drinking clean filtered water. This item seems very poorly made. The spigot is plastic, seems cheap, and one of my 3 children will probably accidentally snap it. The canisters just literally sit on top of each other. It will not hold as much water as it states it will. If I try to get more than a liter in it, it starts to leak all over my counters. The water that does filter tastes good and clean, but just wish I could get the dang thing to hold as much water as it states it will. I'm Very disappointed!!

I have named it: R2-H2O. Step one, rinse every part thoroughly. Plastic particles, dusts and other manufacturing byproducts coated everything. You get what you pay for, typically... For this little fella, great value for the money. It does take up space on the counter top, but I can tell a side by side on the taste of water from tap vs. this filter system. Considerable improvement. 4 stars for a good design to avoid cross contamination, filtration... etc. But something about it does not earn a 5 star rating. However, I am thinking about buying a couple more for emergencies. If fluoride filtering could be included in future filters/models, I would give it 10 stars. Update: Raised to 5 Stars. Yeah, it's cheaply made, a little concerned about longevity of spigot. But the water tastes so much better. Made my first pot of coffee today with it, WOW. What a difference, coffee tastes so much better. So I bought a second one today for home use. Tip: Adding 99.9% silver ounce rounds to upper and lower tanks helps to also kill viral, bacterial, and potential algae growth. Pioneers used to drop silver dollars in the water barrels to keep the water fresh. Plus, with what happened in Flint, MI; who knows which city is next. I've got a Berkely, but a few of these might also help my friends and family if needed. Be blessed.

This is not sufficient as a filter at all, it doesn't remove anything (I have a lab grade meter & checked) it does add some parts per million from the mineral rocks or filter I'd assume. The plastic is very flimsy, the spout leaked, which I remedied by giving it an entire extra turn a week later that stopped the leak, wasn't awesome to come home to a pool on my counter & floor though. It wasn't difficult to put together, confusing I suppose even with the instructions provided via email, in the box, & in the filter box... It does "filter" pretty slow, which I would tolerate if it was actually filtering toxins out of the water which it does not - at all. I cannot comment on whether it makes the water taste better or not, my tap water doesn't "taste" off or bad at all, but when tested even with a simple ppm meter, it is barely below EPA standards max here in San Diego, honestly had no clue the water was so bad before I moved here, its bad. If I didn't rent I'd look into a reverse osmosis system - my search for a decent filter goes on... This was definitely NOT it. This is simply a water "container" & "Dispenser" Also worth mentioning, the mineral rock filter that sits in the bottom, I opened it to rinse the rocks as instructed & found a couple small pieces of sticks & some dried worm like insects like wasps in their larva stage or earwigs, didn't gross me out too bad, I get it that the mineral rocks came from nature & I was rinsing it anyway, but quality control could stand to improve for sure. Imagine I didn't open the filter & just soaked it as instructed, I'd have been filtering water through re-hydrated insects & sticks. Yum!

Went on line looking for the best water filter, and two came up as the best at filtering and getting the most bad stuff out. To my surprised it was given by The makers of Big Berkely. His, and the LeDoux was rated the best two. Did not take me long to order considering the price difference. However, I will also purchase one of theirs for durability, and longer filter life for my camper. I guess this would be a review for both companies. Honesty, and customer service for both. I just received an email from Beverly of LeDoux, that replacement filters was now available at Amazon. I have been using hers daily. Their is a learning curve about emptying, cleaning, and how full before you drain some into another container. Mine backed up when I let it get to full in the bottom. Not enough water pressure to force through the many rock filter. Understandable after I thought about it. Mine works best if I keep the level in the drinking part, no more than an inch above the drain valve. Water is excellent compared to what I was drinking straight from the faucet. My ceramic filter needs cleaned weekly, and lot's of stuff on it. Couldn't ask for a better unit for the price. I do not usually give a review, but when something is what it is advertised as, and another company likes it. Has to be ok.

The only instructions are a diagram but I am clever and figured out how to put it together, the rocks are from a little tray that sits in the base tank. This Tray cannot be sealed so the rocks will come loose in a heartbeat. I decided to not include them in the base tank as I can't clean (as recommended) it as even trying to move the base unit may upset the tray. The vague cleaning instructions were the only written instructions. This is not an Eco-friendly product, I doubt all claims they made on what this is. The ceramic filter takes forever to pass water down the system, I think it may have have enough to drink sometime next week or maybe three or four weeks. ;) I am going to give it a while and see if it works as the design has some good points and the filtration is reasonable from what I can see. I am not filtering Flint MI tap water so it might work.

Water filter was easy to set up and works well. The city water where I live is highly chlorinated, and even with a whole house pre-filter, has a definite chlorine taste and odor. This filter removes that problem. Once you get everything set up and flushed, the water tastes clean and clear. It now comes with concise directions for set-up. I only have two complaints: the dome top makes it far too tall to fit under a cabinet and the spigot is a bit flimsy. The nice thing with the dome, though, is that if you set the unit away from a faucet, two fill ups in the dome - used like a bowl - completely fills the reservoir. Although the spigot is plastic and not very sturdy, it has worked without fault. I have had mine for over a year and have had no problems with it. Have recommended it to several family members and they are all pleased with theirs as well.
