This remote synced up to my fan easily. I took a picture of the fan dip switch settings on my phone so I could easily see the pattern to program the remote. The manufacturer discontinued the original black colored remote the fan/light combo came with so this was great to be able to find a product that was compatible and allowed all the functions to work (i.e. speed, forward/reverse, and both up and down light control). I'm not the hugest fan of the colors as it reminds me of hospital call button remote, but the functionality is perfect and I could not find any other product that actually worked.

I have a Kichler ceiling fan with a remote that looks exactly like this that is worn out. The ceiling fan manufacturer wants a huge amount for a replacement remote. I have a stellar harbor breeze fan in my "man room". She quit working two summers ago (yes I said 2 summers. I procrastinated) Well finally got tired of cranking up the A/C and getting the resulting electric bill so did some research. Found that I could buy one for $50 or have it sent off for repair for $25. I'm a Amazon Prime freak and love everything about Prime so Amazon is the first place I think of if I need something. Well looky there, they have my remote for........drum roll...........$26 with shipping! 3 days later I'm sitting on my couch with fan remote in hand watching pre-season football with this nice cool breeze coming down. It worked and life is good now :) Update: Ok it didn't fix my problem after all. Its not really the remotes fault because I do think there was an issue with the old one but it seems to be the receiver thats giving me problems.

I was looking for a replacement for my old fan remote that gave out and this one works perfectly. It controls the lights and fan speed just like the old one.

All the way up to installing the battery I was sure it would not be that easy. Set the dip switches similar to the old remote and it worked as it should. Very happy as I was thinking of getting a new fan but now I'll make the old one work for a while.
