It is scented, but it is a light clean scent. It is not overly perfumy like some shampoo. When I wash my hair it just smells clean. I have been ordering the shampoo and conditioner for years and I love it. I would recommend it highly.

Does this work on red colored hair?

Yes it will but your best option would be to choose something that is sulfate free so your red can last even longer. A few options would be, neuro lather, marula shampoo, awapuhi wild ginger shampoo and tea tree color care.

is this color protect shampoo a daily shampoo

I assume it could be. Because my hair tends to be dry, I only shampoo about twice a week and use a conditioner daily when I shower. My hair is colored and this shampoo does well on my treated hair.

Does this product suds up when you use it?

I have used this product for years and I have fine red colored hair and its always been wonderful. I don't know what you mean by suds up? Does your hair feel clean after use yes! I also use the matching conditioner which makes it a winning team.
