Taylor Precision Products Large Dial Thermometer, Silver

UPDATE: Bit confused by this thermometer tbh. At times, the temp reading is way off, but at other times it appears to be super accurate. Might be the placement..? I’ll have to try moving it around inside the oven to see if it changes anything. At one point, it was reading above 500F when the oven was set to 350F. 😳 Surely our oven isn’t THAT inaccurate. Works as it should. Large enough to read with the oven door closed. Nice to have. This will ensure accurate baking temps.

Taylor is the best oven thermometer. Essential to know the exact temp oven. Discovered why cookies took too long to bake: my oven temp setting was off by 20 degrees Fahrenheit. So I increase the temp setting on my oven panel. A MUST to have!

I ordered this product because I noticed my oven temperature was not accurate. I needed something that would be easy to use and give me a accurate temperature I could rely on. We have a high-end large Thermador oven that is on the older side so I knew I needed to test how off the temperature actually was. This product has met those expectations and is very accurate. This product is wonderful and it has done everything I ask of it. The only complaint I would have is that the thermometer is fairly large. If you have a small oven you might have to put it on the second rack and that would limit your ability to use both racks while cooking or knock into it multiple times. But, that is my only complaint. The thermometer has a hook that allows you to hang it on the rack or a stand so you can set it on the rack. The thermometer is easy to read and the numbers are written fairly large so you can read the temperature while it is hanging and you will not have to touch it while its hot. This allows you to monitor the oven's heat accurately and easily. The product quality is also very durable and will be a kitchen tool that will last for a long time.

Don't cook much. I was following recipes and my food would end up over cooked. Used to verify oven temp 1st. Then adjusted cooking time.

Easy to read and durable. It is perfect inside the oven to ensure the proper temperature desired for cooking. Love it and highly recommend.

Bought this as a fail safe for my oven to ensure inwas consistent in my bakes. It’s awesome. Had a large face so I don’t need to put my whole head inside the oven.

The dial indicator is crooked, so it reads about 20-25 degrees hotter than what the actual temp is. Had I not tested it against another trusted analog thermometer I may not have noticed. It is difficult to tell in the picture, but the brand name sits higher on the right than the left. This seems like a case of poor quality assurance.

My old oven thermometer had faded over the years - I'm very pleased with the Taylor thermometer.

Works very well and is NSF hygiene quality. Oven thermometers are not common but this one is very good. I have had Taylor thermometers in my kitchens for 40 years they have always worked well.
