THERABAND Stability Trainer Pad

I use this for Vestibular therapy. Helps me a lot. Balance is critical as we age and this helps train the brain to maintain balance and stability.

Works well has improved my balance

I am an ice skater, and wanted something to strengthen my ankles. This works very well. The black is very wobbly, though, and should probably be used by people with very good balance already. The size is excellent - not skimpy and the quality is also excellent. Durable, strong and well made.

Perfect for ankle rehab very firm

I keep this on the floor in my living room and stand on it everyday. I can feel my stabilizer muscles firing as I stand single legged on this. I really would recommend this to everyone, as we age our balance becomes every more important and this certainly helps.

My husband and I both use this to help with our balance. Balance is very important for us seniors. This trainer is easy to place around the house for use when using the computer, watching TV, etc. When we travel by car, it's convenient to take with us.

I use this after my daily runs. It's alright. The issue I have with it is that if you use one foot and your ankle gets lazy (or is weak) it will deflate enough that you end up touching the floor and defeating the purpose. For me, I just have to pay attention, but if you are not used to these, I would recommend the foam-type, or dome-type trainers. This is also bigger than I thought it would be. The sports medicine office had one that looked exactly like this, but was just big enough for a large foot- so probably about half this size. I can stand on this with both feet, without hanging over the edges, but I have small feet.

I should have ordered 2. Some of the exercises I would like to do would require 2 of these. I need to see how faithful I am before I invest in a second one. My PT was surprised there was only one. It's small enough to fit under or behind a chair making it accessible to use at any time. It facilitates the strengthening exercises I continue to need to improve after knee replacement. Helps improve my balance too.

I just want to reiterate for everyone this item is air inflated, not foam; grab the blue or green if you're looking for foam pad. These pads are what you would find in most physiotherapist clinics and are durable/made to last and I can see are easy to clean. If you're looking for something portable/packable/light to travel along with you to games or workouts, this item is light but rather large/bulky. Large feet? this item is for you. It's too bad Thera-Band doesn't offer these items in a smaller size.
