MUCH better than the standard version, and probably worth the extra cost
I really liked the price of Meinl's basic bongo bag so I tried it. That one might work for lightweight, recreational bongos, but not for "real thing." I own the LP Galaxy wood bongos and they felt like they would drop through the bottom of the standard bag. I exchanged it for this one. All is well. The professional bag is nearly perfect -- quite a bit cheaper and better constructed than its LP counterpart. It has tons of padding, including a thick, removeable bottom pad. The zipper and pulls feel solid, and the bottom exterior has a substantial rubber skid plate. The overal design is reminiscent of Meinl's pro cajon bag (which I also highly recommend). My only gripe is this bongo bag provides no isolated storage compartment for the tuning wrench and other percussion accessories. Maybe the thinking is you use the removeable pad as separator between the drum and accessories(?) While I'd prefer to spend less on a bongo bag, the Meinl Percussion Professional version is still a great buy at $69.99. This one a perfect mix of quality and price. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

it is really nice and seems to be pretty durable
I purchased this as a gift for the intended instrument. it is really nice and seems to be pretty durable, but the interior skeleton of the bag is really difficult to put in.
