I chose this one because of its improved absorption and added cinnamon matrix. After just a couple of weeks, I noticed a positive effect – better blood sugar control and overall improved well-being. The capsules are easy to take, with no unpleasant smell or aftertaste. I also appreciate that it’s a vegetarian formula with no unnecessary additives. An excellent choice for supporting metabolism and overall health! Highly recommend!

I love this product! The capsules are very easy to swallow. There is no flavor & the results are plentiful. I definitely notice a reduced sugar craving as well as a reduction in my appetite. I have noticed an increased mood & energy levels. I am not overweight, but I do notice that these capsules (in addition to my fitness routine & vegan diet) cause a weight reduction/loss. I couldn’t recommend this product enough. There are so many health benefits to berberine & the quality of this product is wonderful.

The product does work. It helped me to lose 1-2 lbs a week by evening blood sugar levels which I feel helped reduce my food cravings. The capsules don’t really have a taste at all and are fairly easy to swallow if you are used to taking supplements.

If you struggle with insulin resistance for any reason, be it PCOS, diabetes, or just general lifestyle choices, you owe it to yourself to try this supplement. After being diagnosed with PCOS, I went on a mission to reverse it naturally and after much research, this was one of the first supplements I purchased (and continue to use even though I have now reversed almost all of my symptoms)! The combination of Dihydroberberine (DIFFERENT THAN JUST ANY BERBERINE SUPPLEMENT) and Ceylon Cinnamon is very powerful at balancing blood glucose, even after "cheat" meals or desserts! I worse a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) for a month just to get a sense of how my body was reacting to the foods I eat regularly and I can confirm that this supplement definitely helps keep blood sugar more steady when taken with meals, even when that meal isn't exactly light and healthy. Will your blood sugar still go up after you eat a carb heavy meal? Yes, but it probably won't spike as high or stay elevated nearly as long if you take this first. I was quite shocked by this Product to be honest..being a sugar-Holic... these easy to swallow with absolutely no flavor capsules took my Sugar cravings away so that I was able to increase my plant protein since I am Plant based! I’ve been fighting my sugar cravings when THIS actual product seemed to have taken care of it for me! I had plenty of energy and this product is made of all natural ingredients which was beneficial to my radiant skin! I’m so glad I tried this Product!... now I know how to help stay slim!

I was excited to give this supplement a try. Hearing that it boosts your energy, stabilizes your blood sugar. The capsules are average size and were easy to swallow too. I have a sensitive stomach and so I wasnt sure how my gut would react. The first day I took the recommended dosage and did feel a bit more energy. The second day I took the first pill and by the afternoon my stomach was giving me issues. Cramps, diarrhea and the like. As stated I have a sensitive digestive system. These are gluten free as I am too. I would think for people without stomach issues these would be worth a try. As the bump in energy and blood sugar regulation possibilites seem good. For me though I did not take any further doses just based on my own eco system which can tailspin and give me issues. I read up on Berberine and it definitely can cause some people issues. So this is just a note of caution for anyone else with stomach concerns. I will still give 3 stars because easy to swallow and energy upswing too.

I've used regular berberine on and off for years to good effect. When I saw this product I figured I'd give it a shot - a 5X more effective form, along with added benefits of cinnamon? Sign me up. I've used as directed, twice a day with food. Well, I've been noticing two strange things lately. One, my body odor has changed - I've been noticing a really unusual (for me) scent coming from my arm pits. Not my normal odor. Two, when I go to the bathroom the first time in the morning, my urine has been extremely dark - almost orange, sometimes with a pinkish hue. The latter has been very alarming as that is often indicative of serious kidney problems. I have experienced a kidney stone in the past and I experienced a similar thing at that time. I haven't experienced any kidney pain accompanying it this time though, which is normally an obvious tell-tale sign something is wrong. I do have an appointment coming up to get checked out soon but I don't have a specific diagnosis yet. And then it happened, I ran out of this product a couple days ago and I put 2+2 together. The weird body odor is gone, and my urine returned to normal. I don't know if it's the dihydroberberine or the cinnamon at fault - both were new ingredients to me. But it was definitely something in this product. I decided to do some additional research (something I probably should have done first!) I haven't found much linking either ingredient to the issues I have, so that part is still a mystery. What I did find was the 2015 study the manufacturer references when they make the claim "5X more effective." The study does not show it's more effective. It shows it's 5X more bioavailable. That's not the same thing - more bioactive doesn't automatically mean it's more effective. See, newer research on berberine is leaning towards explaining berberine's benefits by it's activity in the gut. That might mean you're better off NOT absorbing it and letting it do its thing with your gut flora in your intestines. The same 2015 research also shows dihydroberberine is LESS active at LDL receptors than regular berberine. So if you're hoping to take it for cholesterol lowering benefits, this is potentially inferior to regular berberine. The research was focused on how it's absorbed and metabolized in the body - so it didn't even test the efficacy of dihydroberberine on blood glucose, so if you're taking it for that reason, the main reason people usually take it - the research simply does not support the claim that the product is more effective. (In fact the 2015 research mentions rats treated with berberine and an antibiotic to blunt it's effect in the gut showed significantly reduced activity on blood glucose. Another hint that it's not the berberine alone that works - its the combination of the berberine and how it effects your gut flora that leads to better glucose control.) Science has a way of taking an ingredient from nature, trying to isolate it or modify it to be "better." It doesn't always mean an improvement. Sometimes nature had it right the first time. So all told - this product is much more expensive than plain berberine. The manufacturer's claim of "5X more effective" is possibly misleading. It makes me stink, and who knows what it was doing to my kidneys. (Hopefully just discoloring my urine without actually causing a deeper problem.) Regardless, I'll be switching back to regular berberine and skipping the cinnamon. Given all the positive reviews, I don't doubt this works for some. I'm not claiming it doesn't work at all. Just that there's nothing to suggest its "more" effective than much cheaper plain old berberine so the price doesn't justify it.
