Sugru by tesa - Moldable Multi-Purpose Glue for Creative Fixing and Making, Black, 3 Piece

Edit: I liked it so much I bought it twice. My suitcase broke on holiday (crack in the plastic) which is well and truly resolved. See the photo. Original review: I recently used Black Sugru to repair a broken clip on my desk mounted fan, and I couldn't be more impressed. The clip had snapped off entirely, making the fan rattle useless without it. What makes Sugru so effective is its moldable, putty-like consistency that turns into a durable, flexible silicone rubbe. It was incredibly easy to shape around the remaining hinge and rebuild the missing piece. Once cured, the bond was rock-solid. It saved me from having to buy an entirely new unit over one small piece of plastic. If you have anything broken, frayed, or rattling around the house, keep a pack of this in your drawer. It’s a total lifesaver!

I bought this for a small repair job, so I was a little disappointed that you can't keep an opened pack & have to use it all at once or just have to throw the remainder away. Mind you, that's just probably my ignorance - though perhaps they could sell very small individual packs for small repairs? Anyway - it worked well for its intended original purpose, and I coincidentally broke the handle off a favourite mug on the same day so was able to superglue the three pieces together again & then use sugru to fill in the gaps on the joins & then reinforce each area. It did take 2 days to fully dry/harden on both jobs I used it for, despite not being in thick pieces or layers - so that's something to bear in mind if you use this stuff. Additionally the black sugru does colour your fingers / vinyl gloves / anything it touches, so make sure you cover your work area / hands & keep it away from your clothes. All in all it did what I needed it to do, despite being a little on the expensive side for what you get - so I feel I have to knock a star off for price & having packets that result in unnecessary waste if you're only needing a small amount.

I have the dreaded Kokoon Nightbuds that keep fall apart and are now discontinued but I love them and haven’t found a replacement that I’m happy with yet. In the meantime, I thought I’d try and fix it with this stuff and I am blown away! I had no fraying wires so was safe to do this. It was really easy to mould. It dried within 12 hours but I didn’t use it for 24 hours to be safe. Everything still works and although it chunky, the wire is still really flexible. I’ve used it a few nights now and it’s working a treat! Really pleased I found this solution!

Love this stuff. So versatile, easy to apply - and boundless applications. Lots of colours available, super strong, mouldable - if it needs fixing, get Sugru!

Amazing product. Let down by the fact that it expires very quicly. In the three pack i was sent. 2 packs had dates in 2026, but the third was already 3 months expired. Considering how little you get for the price, I would expect what little you get to at least be fresh!

Used it to repair my car key fob, had some leftover so I used to to strengthen a usb cable

I installed a digital (head up display) speedometer in my wife's car. However, since it needs to be plugged into the cigarette lighter, there was a lot of trailing lead. I managed to neatly tuck the wire near the dashboard in between some plastic panels. But lower down there were no convenient gaps to tuck wire into. I have used sugru before and using it to secure the lead into a fairly concealed corner seemed a good idea. The plastic panels in my wife's car are black, so I got some black sugru. I managed to fit the lead into a dark corner by smothering the lead with sugru which held it in place. Then I tidied up the sugru with a blunt piece of plastic and finally smoothed it off with a cloth and some alcohol (The 100% sort not whisky :-). Anyway, it did a perfect job of concealing and securing the lead in place and 24 hours later it has dried out perfectly. Sugru is certainly fairly expensive, but is very useful for all manner of things, such as making clips for multiple USB cables, make hooks for car keys, etc.

Worked really well to repair the cracks in my cars dashboard, though it does turn a dark shade of gray and doesn't remain black once it's set.

Pâte utilisée pour réparer la coque souple d'une paire de jumelles NIKON. Le résultat est impressionnant. Utilisée aussi pour confectionner un joint entre un souffleur et une buse.
