Amazing piece of kit for securly storing you equipment around the house and for going out and about
Amazing piece of kit for securly storing you equipment around the house and for going out and about . Great design , very sturdy and solid design and for the equipment, once youve pulled the pre-cuts out and created your secure padded layouts (which can easily be changed) you do have a safe and secure enviroment for your equipment. Good quality clip over locks plus there is the ability to attach a padlock. Very storng & expectations of being pretty good waterproofing . Not the cheapest of its type but well worth the investment for keeping your equipment in , safe & sound.

Very good value
Bought to transport my dslr cameras and lenses. I can comfortably fit 3 door cameras with lenses attached as well as 3 other lenses. Only downside for me was the foam inserts. They separated far too easily and this has led to some movement when transporting. I will look to replace the top layer in time. But this is just nit picking as the case itself is proving to be strong and durable. Very good value for the money.

Very pleased
Needed an additional flight case for a job in a hurry. This was available next day delivery on Prime and at a price that kt was worth yhe gamble. Early days but survived a long haul flight intact. No significant difference in quality with my genuine Peli cases. Wheels, handles and latches all solid. My criticism would be that the foam isn't of comparable quality and may not stand the test of time if you are forever removing and replacing items.

Really disappointed.
This has to be one of the worst purchases from Amazon. I needed this in a hurry and ordered it for equipment storage whilst on the move. It arrived and I proceeded to unpack the foam from the case. The first alarm bell was that it had a dual layers of foam and only one was pluck the other was solid foam. I managed using a knife to get the cut outs for my equipment as required. The build quality is embarrassing. The moulds that they used for this box are really worn. You can tell where they have used power tools to correct the shape of the box. As for the IP ratings it will never be water proof as the lip of the seal is non existent. It looks like it’s cracked off on the original moulding. How they could send it out like this is beyond me. They clearly have no quality control whatsoever. Buy cheap buy twice.

Perfect for a CineRig
Changing the A7Sii into a CineRig, we realised we didn't want the hassle of building it up from scratch on location. As the existing case for the camera was already perfectly set up, it was time for an alternative case so we were ready. Just like every other case I have bought (from different brands) the case is sturdy, the pick and pluck foam worked out perfectly (also has a base foam layer and a lid layer), to pull out handle and wheels are a must and the area for a padlock is reinforced. I'm confident (having already sorted out the foam and have the CineRig in place) this will be perfect for its first ousting next week and will be durable enough to last for years.

Claspmare
I love the case I bought it for an invention prototype I will be taking to a very important meeting, unfortunately I’m not sure I’ll be able to take it. There are 7 clasps that hold the lid tight fine, but they drop down and prevent the lid opening without assistance from a third party or twisting the lid until it finally pops open. I’d look a complete fool at the meeting so I can’t use this design of box sorry.

Great for the price
This case is a great size, I have all my cameras, monitor, lenses and accessories fitted in two layers. My only gripe is that the top layer of “pluck foam” is very soft and it deforms and tears easily when taking out and replacing items. I removed it and swapped it for Shadow Foam which works much better. Otherwise the case seems sturdy and well built apart from the retractable handle which seems a bit flimsy but has worked well so far.

It's HUGE.
I own several Pelican cases and several Harbor Freight cases. The construction of this case is pretty much identical to the ones sold at Harbor Freight. Possibly (although this is conjecture) made at the same factory. This is roughly the same size as the Pelican 1650. It comes with pick and pluck foam (2 layers) and regular foam (2 layers). I would have preferred 3 layers of pick and pluck. The retractable handle seems a bit...flimsy? Though not terribly so. One of those "time will tell" items. If you're looking at these types and sizes of cases, be careful you can't get competing brands on sale, which makes them a better buy. Honestly, I'm a bit confused on the price. To compete against it's obvious target, this should be $30-$40 cheaper. So why it's priced the way it is, I'm not sure. It's a nice case, for certain. And it has PLENTY of room. And if you get a good deal on it, I recommend it. If you've used any of the harbor freight cases in the past, you know they're almost as good as the other guys. And usually much cheaper. Usually.

Excellent Sturdy Case for Expensive Gear
Writing this review after 4 months of using this product. I'm using this to house my expensive cinema camera and even more expensive cine zoom lenses as you can see in the images. I wouldn't say this is the cheapest product out there but can definitely say that it is the best quality for a such a decent price tag. I have used other brands(Pelican/Nanuk) that costed me more than twice this one costed for the same size. I was little skeptic buying this online after using those brands(bought in store), but totally surprized with the built quality of this case. The level of build quality is on par with those over expensive brands. It held up pretty well against the beating it got during transportation and abuse on film Sets. So far there are no issues like damaged hinges or broken edges except few very minor scratches. Latches are solid firm and pull handle feels strong and comfortable enough to hold the weight. I like the handles on three sides, very convenient to carry/lift by two people. They feel sturdy The size is ideal for anyone who wants to store their gear in assembled state so that you can get to work as soon as possible instead of assembling the gear at the location and wasting time. It has three layers of foam and only the top layer is pre scored which can be pluckable. I think it is not a big deal to cut the foam. Well most of my friends and I did it easily. You can buy foam sheets online if you want to change the layout later. Its weather sealing it good. I have used it in very foggy mornings and in light rain , but did not test it for waterproof though. Well that is not one of my requirements so I don't bother. If you want to test it (definitely without the gear inside) for waterproof probably do it immediately after you receive the product and return it if you are not satisfied. Me and couple of my friends are confident about using this case for our expensive gear. I would definitely choose this hard case instead of those over expensive cases in the market. If you are in doubt like I was, just give it a shot and return it if you don't like it.

Must read 1st before purchase.
Travel case is nice, came in very fast and packaged perfectly. Comes with form inside that you can remove or customize for use. Case is heavy naturally 28lbs to be exact, that means you only have 22lbs left to get to 50lbs for fight use, which is not enough for me because my tools are heavy 😞. Will probably use it locally not for fights but otherwise it’s a good case for its price range. I never got to test the water proof part. Size wise it’s like a medium size suitcase that can protect expensive stuff.

Extremely Rugged Case for Gear
This is definitely a heavy duty case. It is also rather heavy without anything in it, so you will probably need to use the wheels and telescopic handle to move it around (at least I did). Here are my pros and cons: PROS - Extremely rugged case. It protects everything inside and I believe the case could take a good blow without the contents being destroyed. - It is waterproof. (Although I did not submerge mine in water, the way it is constructed and the seals lead me to believe it will keep water out). - The shape is very rectangular and the space inside is open so fitting in my gear was easy. It comes with foam that has pre-cut areas so you can design your own shapes for your gear. For me, I already have padded cubes for my gear, so I packed my cubes in and used some of the foam to fill in the gaps. - There are four wheels on the bottom and they seem beefy enough to take various terrains. I toted mine over a small section of stone parking and did not have any issues. - There are seven spaces where you could put locks or clips to further secure the goods inside. - There are multiple clips holding the lid to the body and they are a heavy duty plastic material. CONS - Without any contents, the case is somewhat heavy. For me, with my gear inside, it is a struggle to get the case into the back of my SUV. - When you go to close the lid, the clips get in the way of shutting it properly. Once you move the clips out of the way, the lid closes completely and you can latch the clips. I would like to see the clips stay in an “open” position until the lid is shut. At that point, snapping all the clips closed would be easy. Overall, I like the case and it serves its purpose. It is heavy, but I’m not sure that can be alleviated without reducing integrity of its ruggedness. It’s also not at all fancy, but I see that as a positive. There’s no sense in advertising that you have expensive equipment inside. I rate the case at five stars.
