Despite the fact due to room size I should have bought a 10-12,000 BTU and this is only a 6,000, this air conditioner works extremely well. Mind your room size especially if you have high ceilings. I would always go with the higher BTU. When it was in the mid 90s farenheit with high humidity it had a bit of difficulty keeping the 20x17 room icy cold. It has cooled the room beautifully most of the time, however, with very little noise. I leave it on 24-7. Also very energy efficient. Highly recommend.

Install was easy and it works great. I am only using it in a very small office, but it’s quiet enough and can freeze me out quickly. For the money it would be hard to beat.

No problems! Cools bedroom, is quiet, remote works well, well worth the price. Would buy again!

Did some research on the product, it is made by GE and is a reliable air conditioner. I have two already privately labeled under another name but my research shows that Amazon Basic air conditioners are also GE products, all of them running in my house and are reliable and keep the house cool.

It’s quiet and pretty powerful. So far we’ve had close to 100*F here and it’s kept me very comfortable in the cabin of my sailboat. Fits perfect in the hatchway entrance. For the last 3 years I’ve bought very expensive portable ac’s but they stopped working when the temp got to 90*F and above. I am very pleased because this is chugging along at almost 100*F. To be honest I figured it would not work well in the high temps. Pleasant surprise and what a relief that I don’t have to drown in my sweat anymore. No misery for me this year and this ac is efficient at a little over 4 amps according to the manual. But to the watt meter I use I’m getting 3.62 amps and about 430+- watts. I’ve seen bad reviews and If mine turns into a problem then I will def update my review.

Nice 6000 BTU window AC. Easy to install and compact in comparison to the 5000 BTU it replaced. Nice cold air. Vent system is nicely thought out for direction of air flow. Very quiet when running. Remote control has advanced features such as Sensor Mode which essentially turns the remote into a thermostat for the AC. Can be placed on a bedside table and use it for sensing temperature instead of the AC itself. Makes a difference if you're some distance from the unit.

For this to be almost $300 this is very mediocre and underwhelming. It doesn't have that "powerful" force of air and is not very cold. It will make the room comfortable but won't hold up in the summer. I will have to get another unit. It is spring and it really isn't doing much in my room and my room is small! I can't imagine getting through the summer with this a/c unit. The best part is that it comes with a remote and the noise level is low, comfortable and calming. If anything, it will be good for a kid's room or elderly adult room.

The only thing I found weird about it was the remote control doesn't seem to work properly with the unit itself, but I probably need to read the directions more. It works great, installation wasn't bad.... And I love the fact that it has a built-in dehumidifier. I tried that on a very humid day and that actually helped a lot
