Much better than so many other more expensive spatulas
It's ridiculous that there are so many spatulas that cost so much more than this one but they aren't as good. IThese have a nice fine edge that gets underneath foods that require a little precision - like flipping a thin layer of egg when making an omelette or getting underneath a pancake. They're safe for non stick, but I use them on my stainless steel pans also. This looked like my 10 year old one which finally started to shed a little after years of abuse and dishwashers, and after looking locally in quite a few large retailers I saw nothing that was an exact replacement and all were many times this price. So I ordered this Norpro and sure enough, it appeared to be pretty much the same thing I enjoyed for years. Had it for a couple of months now, using it once or twice a day, and I'm fairly certain these are a steal - in fact I ordered the jumbo version of this one (it's really long, I got it for big fish fillets) and that one is great, too. I feel like I should be ordering these like I do with shoes that I like and buy several so when they stop making them I still have spares.

Not bad for the price
I'm super picky about my spatula's and I happen to like this style. I happen to have someone in my household who tends to melt the things so I don't care to invest in anything fancy. This spatula is slotted and well shaped, fairly stiff and no nooks or crannies to capture water from the dishwasher. Sadly mine didn't make it but a week or 2 before I noticed it had started succumbing to the abuse. It's pretty much what I expected, I wish the heat resistance on these was a bit higher but overall a good buy for the price.

Flexible and Strong
Love this spatula. Not only is this spatula easy to hold, but it is flexible enough to flip eggs, pancakes, omelets, but this is what I use to remove cookies from baking sheet. The front is slopped so you can get under the cookies. It is heat resistant, no melting or burning, cleans up nicely, I put mine in the dishwasher. Also a comfortable length. I have had this a few years and still looks like new!

The best of the best of the best?
So my mother had this spatula way back in the day, according to her its the best because while it's a "cheap" spatula it's the perfect balance of flexibility while still being durable. She had one for YEARS that she kept even though the handle snapped in half and one of the bars on the head broke and we begged her to get a new one or throw it out. But she still used it because it was her favorite and any other spatula just wasn't the same. I finally found the same one here on Amazon and now she has two new ones that replaced her old broken one. I can't say they last "forever" but for as cheap as it is, it's really not a bad spatula.

Not what I was looking for
Much smaller and shorter than I imagined. Any kitchen making meals would want a larger size. Also, it's rather flimsy and I'm worried about it snapping during use and cleaning.

Not Bad At All For A Great Price And Convenience..
This spatula is about as cheap and unexciting as they come. But for a mail order kitchen utensil the price and quality can't be beat.. I spent less than $3 for this which included shipping, which was with Prime even and arrived in two days..As for the spatula itself, its plastic, a little on the thin cheap side but exactly the size and length I wanted...All that I expected taking into what I paid and what the picture showed it to be. Maybe it's true you could pick something like this up at a dollar store, but the key point here is you don't have too. The extra $1.50 or so I spent was well worth it taking into the gas and time I would shell out having to go fetch it...Works for me and recommended as long as the price holds...
