Review: My 6-year-old loved reading and talking about Leonardo! - I bought this with a group of other books from the series (Hellen Keller, Harriet Tubman, Jane Goodall,...) for my daughter a month or so before she turned 7. She loved having it read to her, reading it alone, and then looking at Leonardo's art. It offers a lot of potential for activities and discussion with a 1st/2nd grader. Review: Simple and informative for 7 years and up - Bought 9 of these biographies for my grandchildren. The books give simple facts and ask questions at the end. They whetted my grandchildren's curiosity to learn more and understand why the contributions individuals make are important to society.

New installment in an excellent elementary biography series
This elementary biography series continues to impress me with its format and its thorough coverage of important people throughout history. Each installment incorporates frequent color illustrations, on-going timeline, side bars, bolded words that are defined in the glossary, “Jump into the Think Tank” questions to challenge readers and so, so much more. While the vocabulary of this series is not as difficult as the popular Who Was/What Was, the coverage of the subject matter is done in a way that encourages far more critical thinking on the part of the reader. Target audience for the series is likely grades 4-6. Recommended for home libraries and literature circles in classrooms, but as hardcover versions do not seem to be available at retail stores or from library venders, they are, unfortunately, not the best option for most libraries.

作品の名前
レオナルド・ダ・ヴィンチがイタリア人とのことで、それを英語にしているから、読み慣れないものもあった。とくに作品の名前が英語になっていて、新鮮だった。
