It works and hem looks very neat without the stitch. Survived the first wash in a washing mashine, let's see how long it will last!

I used this to make keychains and wristlets with a nylon strap webbing core and grosgrain ribbon on the outside. It helped hold everything in place while I did a top stitch. Likely could have gotten away without a top stitch if my project had been the same width, but I like to make things durable as possible. It lended a nice stiffness to the project. Not so much to be rigid, but enough to add a feeling of 'substantial' and 'quality' to it. I am very please with how they turned out. If I had just stitched them, they would be floppy and sad looking. This doesn't have a paper backing, unlike the Heat n' Bond sheets. Each has it's pros and cons, so choose for your project. For hems and such, this is better and quicker. USE PARCHMENT PAPER. Cover your ironing surface, pin in place by corners if you can. Then your project, then another piece on top. This will protect your iron. It will stick to your iron if it touches, and you will have to wait for the thing to cool down and then scrape, clean it off. Save yourself some frustration and get a roll of parchment paper, store it with this in your craft sewing stuff.
