How much sand is needed for the base?

We never added sand but based on the size I don’t think it would be much. We just put our 2 on either side of driveway or street when children are out or crossing the street. Wind can knock them over at times. Eye catching early warning.

How much does this weigh? Will it hold up in high wind areas?

The base fills sand to help make it heavy but high winds could knock unit down....
