Complete Book Of The Microscope

Books were well packed and were in a very good condition

I bought this for my science-curious 8 year old daughter who had recently been given a microscope. She adored it! The way the book is structured was perfect for a 2 page reading on a new topic every night. It’s fed her appetite for science and has also helped her learn to use her microscope. Her achieve curiosity has now morphed into an obsession! Highly recommend!

Good quality book and very informative, and a really good price

I purchased this book as an accompaniment to a fine microscope i bought for my & year old. I can not say I agree with the reviewer who felt the photos were deceptive. Inspirational and fascinating YES! When I go to Paris I don't expect every place I go to look like a photo from a travel book. You will obviously never be able to see the kind of detail they were able to capture with there electron microscope but it creates a sense of wonder that, I feel, is very conducive to a child's passion for exploration. A dot of lice, that would normally be fairly boring to a child, becomes a alien monster and encourages the questions "What else is there?". Gorgeous photos, well laid out chapters and interesting instructions on how to "do it yourself". I think it is a Must Have for first timers.

Creo que es un libro muy instructivo, todo muy bien explicado (por algo tiene el premio Rhône-Poulenc de divulgación científica para jóvenes) y con ilustraciones de calidad. Es un libro atractivo que invita a leer y que un niño de 10-12 años puede entender en inglés. Incluso sirve para los mayores que no estén muy familiarizados con los campo de la biología y microscopía. La única pega, es que pensaba que iban a venir algunos experimentos más para realizar al microscopio (hay algunos muy sencillos, pero echo de menos que hubiera más cantidad). Una pena que no lo editen en español.
