My New Best Friend!
This product has been a lifesaver! Ok, bare with me, this will be long: So I've dealt with chronic health issues for over a decade, and one that has always been a constant is nausea. Sometimes with anxiety attacks, sometimes with motion sickness, sometimes from eating, and sometimes just for no good reason. I've learned to get used to it, more or less, and have taken multiple different prescription meds over the years to help lesson the symptoms that tests have been generally unable to find the cause of. I had stumbled across these types of electric pulse bands a few years before, but had always been unable to afford them, so I just crossed them off my list and pretty much forgot about them, opting instead to try seabands and other solutions that never really seemed to work. Well, recently I have had a bit more income coming in, and decided to do some research on these guys to see if they would be worth the splurge to try one more thing. After reading some articals and comparing different products, I chose the EmeTerm Band to give a try over the ReliefBands. Here's what made my decision: Chargeable: Both the EmeTerm and ReliefBand 2.0 are rechargeable, while the Classic ReliefBand ran on small batteries. Reviews said that the EmeTerm could hold a charge for a few days of continuous use, while the ReliefBand Classic's batteries could last a year, and the 2.0 version reportedly had a rather poor charge life; as I can feel rather sick for extended periods, this removed the 2.0 from my choice list. A cooler look compared to their older product was not worth a poor battery life. Appearance: The EmeTerm is slightly more bulky than the ReliefBand 2.0 (which has the look of a FitBit) but is still rather sleek and modern looking compared to the Classic ReliefBand, which looks like a somewhat ugly watch. How it looked however was really just a side note, but the EmeTerm wasn't too bad in that department. Function: The EmeTerm has very easy controls; one button and five lights to indicate pulse level. Holding the button for a few seconds will turn it on, while doing the same will turn it off, with the lights running upward to indicate the former, and running down to indicate the latter. Pushing the button once will then subsequently turn the pulse level up one, and double clicking the button will bring the level down one, with the lights indicating what level you are on, up to level five. The simplicity of this really put it up to the top of my list. Price: At $99.00, the EmeTerm was the cheapest option, the Classic ReliefBand being about $119.00, and the 2.0 nearly $200.00 (at the time I was researching). So, after all this I decided to try out the EmeTerm. If I didn't like it, I figured I would return it, try the ReliefBand, and go from there. The other reviews for this product also greatly helped my decision. Here is my own review: YEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!! When I first received it, I opened the box to find that it was already nearly fully charged! So I was excited to try it out right away. I was a bit nervous, as I had never tried this kind of thing, and when I turned it on to its lowest setting, I was a bit shocked (haha) at how strongly I felt the electric pulses. I was almost afraid I would find it too uncomfortable to wear, but decided that I would just keep wearing it a little at a time to see if I would get used to it, and luckily I did! While the sensation does still get a bit uncomfortable at times (especially on the higher levels) I have found that it tends to mostly fade to the background, and it is absolutely worth it either way! If I'm feeling nauseous, I start it out on level one and slowly move up the levels depending on how severe it is. I've noticed it can start to relieve my nausea within 10 minutes, and in more severe moments, at least keep it from getting worse, and will still slowly bring me much needed relief. I also put in on if I suspect I might need it, as a preventive measure, such as before I get in a car, and I have definitely noticed a difference! While I still will take anti nausea medication if I feel I need it, I am no longer reaching for my pills as a first response, instead I immediately put on my EmeTerm Band for relief! And both together really help me more than anything I have tried in the past! It's become my lifeline, I always have it next to me, and put in on every time I leave the house just in case, even if I don't end up needing it. Having it nearly replace my pills is absolutely wonderful, as it gives me none of the side affects that they do. I sincerely wish that I could have gotten this sooner! Also, I've found that I can have this thing on for hours at a time, at different levels, for DAYS, and still have it keep up a charge. I haven't run out yet, and it lets you know how much charge is left with the lights right after you turn it on, which is handy. And it charges back up quick! It never takes more than an hour to get back up to full charge, if that! A great feature if you need this thing frequently. Now, some concerns that I read in other reviews: That the band doesn't always stay on correctly. There are no real clasps that hold the band in place, instead there is a metal bit that is pushed into a hole on the other side of the silicon band, and a rubber one further down to keep the end in place. I got the one with the newer band, and while it does sometimes still come loose, I can generally move around quite a lot without any issue of it falling off. If you really want to make sure it stays on, say if you're on a boat, an extra tie might be needed to make sure it stays in place, but I find that slight issues with the band are not worth passing this product by. Also, if the holes don't line up to give you the perfect fit, a piece of tissue or cloth between my wrist and the band works just fine. It seems to not work as well the longer you use it: I have noticed that the shocks don't seem as strong anymore, but was able to alleviate the worry that it wasn't working by having a few other people try it on. Their reactions let me know that it's still pumping out the power, and that I've just lost a bit of sensitivity to it. Even if I can't feel the pulses as strongly, I'm still getting the results, so I'm not worried. Also, really make sure that you use alcohol wipes on the inside of your wrist and on the electric sensors before each use, IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE! I forgot to do it quite a few times, figured it didn't matter, and then when I used the swabs again, BAM! Right back to full shocky glory! Some additional things you should know: You can feel the pulses go up parts of your hand and your fingers, which is normal. It lets you know it's hitting the correct nerve, and can generally be ignored once you get used to it. Higher pulse levels may also cause spasms in your hand, mostly in your thumb, which aren't painful but can get a bit annoying if you need to use that hand. Still worth it. I've included a video of what this looks like on me. TLDR: This thing is amazing! It works great, and has really improved my life, so if you have problems with nausea, GET IT! Don't hesitate! It is absolutely worth every penny, and I don't think I'll ever take it off! Definitely one of the best purchases I have ever made!

Works for more than just motion sickness!
I bought my first Emeterm on 12/19/2019. I put many hours of use into it on road trips as well as to help with certain headaches I get and/or nausea not associated with motion. It also helps distract the brain from other pain I may feel from my chronic illness as well. It works best for me when I turn it on 5-10 minutes before inexperience motion such as driving, quad riding, motorcycle riding, horseback riding, bike riding, roller coasters, roller blading, ice skating, dancing, boating(just be careful around water), etc. Itโs also critical to leave it on for 5-30 minutes once the motion stops. If I turn it off right away, a wave a nausea hits me. Sometimes the motion is too long or intense for the Emeterm to completely prevent a sick feeling but it still greatly reduces it. Also, I didnโt know this until using my Emeterm, is I no longer get what I called โroad trip drowsiness.โ Also I am now able to do things in the car like read or watch videos without getting sick or as sick. I was always impressed with the battery life and how fast it charged. Like I said, I put many hours into mine so when it started working intermittently and making a buzzing sound on 3/15/2022, I wasnโt entirely surprised, although it seems like it should have lasted longer(maybe the newer one I got will). However back when I purchased it, I also purchased an Asurion 3 year protection plan. They refunded me the original cost for the device with no hassle so I also bought the protection plan again with my new Emeterm. I highly recommend this product. Also the customer service for Emeterm is incredible. They reply promptly and are very helpful.

About 90% effective, has some band issues
Pros: it really does work, especially for motion sickness and medicine side effects. You might get the very first moment of awareness of a stomach issue, but then the device kicks in, and it goes away before it becomes even uncomfortable. No gel required. Very effective when paired with other remedies that don't always work 100%, like ginger. In my experience, battery lasted WAY longer than advertised. My typical setting is the second level, and it can go more than.24 hours on that. Even at level 5, which I only needed once, it made it through about sixteen hours before I felt a need to charge it, and it still had some life yet. And it charges very quickly, usually within an hour. Cons: the band is not designed for small wrists, which can make it hard to put on. Replacement bands are proprietary, so it's their two models or nothing. Higher settings can be actually painful, and it does make your fingers curl a little on the highest setting. While it is pretty effective against motion sickness and drug side effects, it didn't really hold up against stomach flu, though I think it helped some. Be aware that the sport band, which mine came with, can come undone under a sleeve if you're moving the arm a lot. On the whole, it's not perfect, but it has made a real difference in my life, as I am prone to carsickness and general stomach upset from other issues. I have not regretted the purchase at all. Some playing with settings may be required, as I get good effectiveness from the first or second setting, but my bf needed the third setting for it to work for him. Would absolutely recommend, despite some minor inconveniences.

NOT USEABLE !
I own the original Smarter Image version. And have purchased three Relief Bands. This item here looked good. and the LARGE electronic skin contacts looked on the unit that arrived, far superior to any other unit I have used. BUT it simply was not possible to fasten the watch band. ... Not even with my friend helping to close the band. The design is ridiculous! One part wiggles, the other part slides. Nothing does the simple job that watch bands have been doing for centuries. ANOTHER PROBLEM is the charging cable. They have a magnetized cable end, which is attracted to the watch, and that same magnetism is polarized because the two contacts are each magnets, in opposing polarities so they won't let you attach the cable the wrong way. Very cute and clever. HOWEVER, the contact end is very small. And the cable wire is somewhat stiff and long. The result is that the wires desire to hold its shape, rather than fall limply flat, exerts sufficient force on the charging end, that the contacts separate from the watch. So the watch band does not fasten to hold it to the wrist and the charging cable itself is also most often disconnecting and not fully charging or at all charging the watch. Not a problem for me. I was prepared to build a wooden jig to receive the watch contact side down, in such a way that they would make contact correctly with the charging cable contacts that were permanently secured and held in the bottom cavity of that nice cave-like jig. But the watch won't attach to my wrist!!! SO I went to the company's website, to see that they sell the watch for 20% less and also offer a large discount to visitors. They mention an improved watch band, that looks identical to the one they sent me. After a few days they responded to my well crafted email. Then after that, NOTHING. No follow up. NO response even after I sent them a second reply wondering how long it will take to hear from them and wondering aloud how a company selling health related products could care so little about keeping their customers waiting for news on if the solution could work. Alas, I returned and got a refund from Amazon and will have to stick with other manufacturers whose products actually WORK!

Worked Great for Theme Park Rides
Iโve gotten motion sickness my whole life, but I love theme park rides. Iโm fine on roller coasters because of the straight ahead motion, but most motion simulator and spinning rides will make my stomach churn. I donโt like taking Bonine because it makes me very drowsy, and when I saw this band, I really hoped it would work. I gotta say without a doubt it does. How the band works is that the small shock it gives you interrupts the signal your brain tells your stomach when the inner ear senses imbalance that causes motion sickness. I first tried it by having my wife get me car sick on purpose. When I started getting queezy, I put on the band, and my stomach immediately felt better. The main reason I bought it was to use it at Disney World (acronyms are parks and rides), and it made my whole trip more enjoyable. At Epcot I rode GoG and MS back to back with zero and I mean zero issue. My brain sensed that I should have been sick, but my stomach said โnope, never got the message.โ At AK, I rode EE, and the backwards part always made me regret riding. Got off the ride and the stomach was like โall good here,โ when my brain knew I should be sick. Same for FoP. I always felt clammy getting off of it because itโs a motion simulator, but no problems at all. The real test was ST at HS. Being trapped in a motion simulator box always made me sweaty and nauseous coming off. Nothing. Again, brain said something was wrong, but my stomach never got the message. Iโd wear the band for about 10 minutes before I got on to get used to it and only needed it for a couple of minutes afterwards. It blew my mind that something like this works. I donโt know about using it for a week or a cruise or how my body will react to using it over a long period of time. All I know is that it worked as I intended it to in theme park rides of short duration. It saved me from being drowsy all day from taking anti-nausea medicine. So happy with this purchase.

Seems to work but faulty clasp
I bought this device for a cruise. The first day i used it the weak clasp opened up and fell off somewhere between the plane and baggage claim. It's a shame because the device did seem to reduce the woozy feeling traveling on planes gives me. I'm forced to using the old standby, low tech accupressure wristbands and drugs on my cruise. Not sure if i want to risk buying another one just to lose it.

I can play video games, finally!
I get motion sickness from playing certain genres of games. Games such as Resident Evil were almost impossible for me to play because I would start feeling sick within 5โ10 minutes. Because of that, my playtime was always limited. I tried different methods like medication and pressure point bracelets. Unfortunately, they did not work very well. Eventually, I came to the conclusion that I should just give up and never play those types of games again. However, I purchased this wristband and was honestly amazed by the results. I was suddenly able to game for hours at a time. In fact, I finished a game within a few days instead of a few months! At first, the pulses felt strange, but not painful. It reminded me of when your hand falls asleep (like pins and needles that come and go). After a while, though, the sensation faded into the background. The device also fits snugly, which I liked. I also love that it comes in pink. The only thing I would improve is the button. It works, but sometimes I struggle with turning the device on and off or adjusting the intensity. That said, it could honestly just be user error on my part. Overall, I love this product and would absolutely recommend it to any gamer who struggles with motion sickness.

Strap keeps popping off the unit. Updated review.
This definitely helps with nausea and motion sickness. The company also sent smaller size wrist bands than what came with the unit for free. My issue with this item is that now whenever I try to put the unit in my wrist, and close the strap, the strap pops off the device. Iโve tried it with 2 sets of wrist straps, and neither one works better than the other. I didnโt have this issue at first, so Iโm assuming that over time, the plastic notch that the straps slide into wears away. Without the strap, the device is useless as there is no way to keep it on your wrist, unless thereโs a 3rd party strap that the device can fit into, kind of like some of these Watch straps for Apple watches I have not see any yet. 6/2022 - I contacted the company to see if there was a fix for this issue. They informed me that I was still under the warranty period and replaced the entire unit. Thatโs great customer service, and standing behind your product.

Would Recommend
I've suffered from motion sickness for almost my entire life, and have tried multiple remedies to no avail. I bought this on a whim, and decided to wear it during a 1.5 hour bus ride. I barely felt any discomfort throughout the ride, when it normally would have made me quite sick. The instructions were very easy to follow and the bracelet itself is lightweight (could honestly pass for a watch). Would recommend!

terrible product
was not working and was absolutely a rip off!!!!!! now I can't even return it and we are stuck with it unless we can get the manufacture to agree to give me my money back. I am so disappointed and saddened that a company I trust like amazon will sell a product like this and not give a proper return policy especially when this was bought for a terminally ill cancer patient that needed it to help with their chemo side effects..
