Why is a black basecoat recommended?

A black base coat enhances contrast, making the metallic flakes appear more vibrant and dimensional. It amplifies the sparkle and depth of the finish under light.

How many coats should I apply?

Apply 3-4 Medium light, even coats or until desired look is achieved. Avoid heavy layers to prevent drips and uneven flake distribution.

How should I prepare the surface?

Ensure the surface is free of dirt, grease, and sanded with 400-800 grit for optimal adhesion. Plastic or bare metal may required primer or adhesion promotor.

Why is a 2K clearcoat necessary?

The 2K clear coat locks in the flakes, adds UV protection, and provides a glossy, durable finish. Skipping it may compromise longevity and shine.

How does this compare to a spray gun finish?

When applied correctly and cleared, the result rivals spray gun quality—without the equipment hassle. Ideal for DIYers and pros seeking convenience.
