I am genuinely impressed with this journal. The leather feels thick, soft, and beautifully distressed — not stiff or plasticky like some “vintage style” journals can be. For around $30, this journal absolutely delivers on quality and price. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something that feels special, not mass-produced.

This is nice. There wasn’t any smell or anything off on mine. The pages do seem a little more fragile than I expected. They feel like the big Chief grade school pads we had when we were in first and second grade - - don’t know if they still make those (I’m 68😜) The leather is nice and it had extra protection on the front edge of the papers to protect it. The leather color is beautiful. The photos show the protection paper for the edges and how the different sections are secured as well as how the book looks closed. I am very happy with this. I didn’t try writing in it yet, plan to buy a quilled Pen and ink to write quotes, expressions and inspirational thoughts in it.

Definitely a great journal I'm not sure if the leather is real or not but the quality of the leather is good and hold up. The closure works great on it. The functionality overall is great. There is no bleed through with the paper from page to the other. The cool gives you that old antique look and feel.

This is a well made and sturdy journal. The leather cover is relatively thick and should hold up well over time. The binding is all leather with metal embellishments, but they took their "antiquing" a bit far. My journal arrived very scuffed and worn looking, which I felt was a bit over the top. I used some leather conditioner on it, and all the scuffs disappeared and the color darkened slightly. The leather strap is too long to tuck the key into it's strap if you wrap it straight around the journal, but after some trial and error I found that wrapping it at an angle works pretty well. The paper is very thick and feels like rag paper, which was very common when people made their own paper centuries ago. It feels like old-fashioned pen and ink, fountain pen ink, or felt tip ink will probably feather badly, so I'll probably stick with ball-point or gel pens when writing in it. The pages are bound with heavy leather thread in 5 groups of 24 pages (12 pieces of paper folded and sewn in the center equaling 24 double-sided pages), so it's almost like a 5-subject notebook. The edges of the paper are fashionably ragged and slightly "burnt" in an attempt to make them look "old," but I think it just makes it look kind of cheap. That's really too bad, because the journal really is beautiful and well made. Overall, I think this is a high quality, tough little journal that is worth the money. Anyone who loves different journals will love it.

I absolutely love this journal. I bought the largest size and am so happy that I did, the pages are a bit larger then I was expecting. The only slight issue that I have with it, is when you go to erase something the page turns white. But other than that the leather is beautiful and it smells amazing. I highly recommend this journal to anyone looking for something similar.

This journal is so beautiful. Works so well with the pilot G-2 07 roller ink fountain pen. I want to order more just because it makes writing in it a visual work of art. Definitely worth the price. The weight of the paper, the texture, this has turned me into a paper snob lol

Bought for a gift, figured it would be good for recipes. It looks even better than the photos make it out to be. The lines are not too bold and the journal itself seems well made. My mom was thrilled and it was 100% worth it.

A beautiful piece of art. I am so glad I ordered this larger size. It looks and feels like an authentic ancient piece of history. I hope my wife can do her journals etc using calligraphy , that would be very fitting. So pleased with this purchase. Highly recommend.
