Elementary: The Complete Series

The stars are only for the fact that I love this show very much. It's a fantastic adaptation of Holmes and Sherlock and Joan's interaction is magnificent, not to mention one of those few series where the lead man and lead woman stay friends. I even like the outer box for the complete series set. It's nice. But I hate everything else. It's the packaging that's the problem. Seasons 1-3 is in its own large box, and 4-7 are in their own large box. But the packaging is horrible for holding discs. I have ordered this set THREE times, twice through Amazon, once through Ebay, all new sets. Every single time, I found discs loose in the boxes. I've had loose discs in boxes before, and most times, I've gotten lucky because the discs were still functional. That's not the case for this Elementary set. All three times, at least one of the discs scratched to the point that one of the episodes failed to play at all. Three times in a row, and I'm tired of trying. I know it'll be more expensive, but if you really want to get a physical copy of Elementary, I think you're better off buying each season separately. That's what I'm trying now.

Outstanding series with great stories and acting...however, we bought this and the description said new. However, as mentioned by several other reviewers who bought around the same time, some of the disks in the 2 part of the series, 5-7 had finger prints on them, not ours, and scratches and Season 5 had episodes that froze on first disk and fourth disk played first episode perfectly and then skipped on every other one ultimately freezing and kept our dvd player from opening so we could remove the disk which we have never had happen after all the hundreds of disks we have played on it. Luckily we ultimately were able to get it open and out. So, first four seasons of disks were find but worried about the rest of the disks. Also, truly horrific packaging where trying to get them out is horrible...what is with companies that sell their expensive series like that? Addendum: the company that sent the disks was very helpful and replaced the damaged disks.

So far so good!!! The discs are playing well and I am enjoying the series!!!

I'm a HUGE fan of the show and unfortunately, it's not available in any of the major streaming services in my country. Even if it were, a lot of lesser popular shows tend to have incomplete episodes or get removed without notice. This DVD package for the complete series is perfect for me. All of the additional content (deleted scenes, commentary, special features, etc.) are great bonuses as well. My only (minor) gripe is that I wish the DVDs were packed differently. There's so many in one case that pulling a specific disc can get unweildy at times. One case per season with maybe 4 or 5 discs in each case would've been perfect. Nonetheless, AMAZING show and great product. I'll still round my score up and give it 5 stars. Cheers!

Fantastic series. You can watch random episodes without problem. Great Sherlock Holmes and the best Watson of all

The seller got the DVDs to me over night. There was one episode that wouldn't play, there are forty episodes. I thought that was very good that only one episode wouldn't play. I really enjoyed the series. I will buy from this seller again.

The disc set is good. The shipping, outer shipping packaging were done well. The product package was intact and in good condition. The set comes in two cases covering the whole series. I have not opened the second case yet, but the first case had some of the pips that hold the discs in place were broken and allowed the discs to float free inside the case. So far, it does not appear to have scratched or damaged the discs. clarity of the shows is good, and there is bonus material/footage included with the series. I don't believe the vendor had any cause for the damaged pips, as it could have been accidental from when the cases were assembled by the manufacturer. All in all, I would probably purchase from this vendor again.

Excellent series that explores crime solving, social issues and relationships.

Great to have the whole season all together but the extra contents are a great bonus if you're a series fan like myself.

If you missed this series on Prime, or started watching it and loved it as I did,only to have it get chopped before finishing the series. Then, buying this box set is an absolute must. I think the acting, plot themes and quirky nature of this series make it worth every penny. I'd got to series 5, so I bought the whole series to finish and then re watch sometime in the future. Because the disks are printed, they are consistently readable by my dvd players and not like a lot of the limited series, 'burned in' discs. This is one of the best deals I've bought on Prime and thoroughly recommended. If you've never seen this series but like good, well made cop/detective series, treat yourself or someone else to a great Christmas treat. I thoroughly recommend this on quality of product and content of the series production.

Sehr gute Serie, aber die Hüllen sind absuluter Müll, keine Ahnung wer die konstruiert hat, aber die sind nicht zum Transport geeignet. Die DVDs fallen super leicht aus den Halterungen. Bei der Lieferung waren fast alle nicht mehr befestigt, aber hatten glücklicherweise keine Schäden. (Falls man es nicht auf dem Bild erkennen kann, es werden immer zwei DVDs pro Achse gestapelt)

A great series, and great reinterpretation of classic characters. The only flaw is that there is no "play all" feature on any of the disks. You have to play each episode one at a time. It's a minor gripe, but it's a bit tedious having to go back to the main menu screen every time you want to move to the next episode.
