Quick verdict: After using this for nearly a year, this has become one of the easiest and cleanest ways I’ve found to handle dog cleanup. As a first-time dog owner, I wanted a cleaner, more convenient way to manage pickup without the usual mess. This tool solved that problem quickly. What makes this DIFFERENT and UNIQUE: This works as a catcher, not just a traditional scooper. With a little consistency, dogs quickly get used to you placing it underneath them while they go. It doesn’t touch them at all—it simply catches everything before it hits the ground. That means: • no scraping grass • no searching for it later • no messy cleanup Catch it, tie the bag, and you’re done. When it’s especially helpful: • rainy or muddy days • when a dog has a loose stomach • daily walks when you want quick cleanup • yards where you want to keep the grass clean Design features I like: • ergonomic and lightweight • telescoping aluminum handle adjusts for height • compact but sturdy • bag pouch dispenser and wrist strap are convenient for walks Bag tip! The GoGo Stik’s “Dootie Bags” work well with the design. If you choose another brand, use appropriately sized pet waste bags WITH handles. Handles make it much easier to secure the bag and tie it off afterward. A scented, thicker bag also helps with odor control and durability. Handle-less bags tend to be more awkward with this type of catcher. Customer service deserves recognition! I recently had a small issue and called the number listed. To my surprise, the owner and inventor answered the phone personally. He was extremely kind and immediately mailed a replacement without any hassle. That level of service is rare today. The 10-year warranty also reflects real confidence in the build quality. Honestly, I recommend it to everyone.

This is by far the best pooper scooper I’ve used. When my daughter was little I found one at a big box pet supply store. It was the same concept with the bag but it was shaped like an actual scoop. You had to bend down to scoop the poop. My daughter was young and it was easy for her to use so that’s what we had. I was so happy to find this one with the same concept except I don’t have to bend down. It took a few tries before I understood how to use it as it had slight differences to my original one. Theoretically you can hold it under your dog and catch the poop but our dog likes to poop privately so we never see him do it until we find it in the yard. Go figure. A couple of things I learned that helps immensely with the ease of using this tool. First, you can definitely use grocery store bags but you really need to secure them tightly. If you have a big dog the poop gets heavy in the bag and I got a little behind at picking up so I had some extra to do. If they aren’t secured tightly then they will come off of the part that does the scooping and you will have to remove the bag and start over. Second, on the scoop itself there are two blades. One side is for grass and the other side is for hard surfaces like concrete or road. I didn’t realize this at first and I was scooping with the wrong side. It got frustrating because it just didn’t work. Pay attention to the way you load your bag so that if you are scooping on grass, you have that side pointing up. It makes the tool work properly and it is so much easier. If you have a small dog with small poops, you will love this. It’s so easy to use for smaller piles. The hole is not super large so if have a bigger dog with bigger piles, it can be challenging if you manage to scoop the entire pile. You have to give it a good shake to get it to fall into the bag. The scoop is not completely free from getting dirty while in use. Unless you wrap the bag around the entire scoop area, the scoop is going to get dirty. It’s super easy to hose off though so it’s not a problem. All in all this is a great tool for a dirty job that no one wants to do. It’s well designed although I wonder about the long term sturdiness of it. I am hoping it will last for awhile. The plastic could be a bit stronger but it seems to hold up to heavy bags. The bags that it comes with are on the small side so I have found that I prefer a plastic shopping bag. If you have a dog or multiple dogs this is a great little pooper scooper. I recommend it.

What a great design! No more picking up poop with your hand in a bag. I’m able to place the bag under my dog’s bottom and catch all his poop without a problem. Scooping is not super easy but manageable. I do have a concern over the handle and the locking of the telescoping pole. The handle grip does not stay on the pole and needs to be glued or taped down. The locking mechanism is not strong enough. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this device.

I bought this a little while back and I honestly really love the product. I used to go out and have to pick up my dog's waste at the end of each week due to one of my family members stepping in it or the smell. I personally enjoy a clean yard for outdoor activities and want to be able to walk into my own yard without fear of tracking in waste on my shoes. This product helps tremendously and gives me peace of mind when walking around in my yard or when doing outdoor activities. It is easy to use and even the doggie bags that go with it are pretty inexpensive as well if buying the doggie bags they sell is not an option I occassionally use plastic bags I get from shopping in stores and they work perfectly fine as well. My dog does not mind using this product and has gotten use to it now though it took a little bit for him to not be scared of it. This product has helped me not have to go outside each week and clean up waste and allows for easy disposal. I highly recommend those thinking about this product to give it a try!

It has a twist mechanism to lock it in place when it’s extended or retracted, but it stopped working tbe 2nd day of use. Otherwise it works as advertised for catch-&-go, but picking up poo from the ground is a challenge if the poo is anything but rock solid. Another improvement would be if they came in different sizes, such as for small, medium, large, & extra large dogs. The opening of the catch ring is a bit narrow for my Rottweiler who likes to walk as she poops. 😒 I used to stoop behind her & catch with a bag (always wearing gloves just in case), but this saves me from that awkward embarrassment. Sometimes her 💩 isn’t always solid, & those soft serve poos are VERY difficult to pick up once they hit the grass. This scooper can’t pick up the soft poo any better than I can manually.

I bought mine 9 years ago. My friend loves it, so I decided to buy her one, and another for me as mine finally broke. While ordering, I noticed it has a 10 year warranty. I reached out to the seller and they sent me a new one. My dog is 115lbs German Shephard. I love that I can get it under his butt and catch it before it even touches the ground. Then leave the bag on the device until I reach a garbage can. It also does amazingly well on picking up off the ground. I can put a plastic grocery bag on it and pick up until it is full. I recommend this product to everyone.

This product did not work for me AT ALL. I have nine dogs of my own and also do dog walking and boarding. I am fortunate to be able to use one of my client's (enormous) back yards as a private dog park, and have anywhere from seven to 15 dogs to pick up after. I was so excited about this product that I purchased THREE so I could keep one at home, one at the park, and one at my mom's, whose yard is also sometimes used for play dates. The good points are that the pole extends far enough so there is not much bending required, and the bags are not difficult to get on or off. However, unless you have one small dog who is borderline constipated (meaning NO SOFT STOOLS), you do not want this product. The bag DOES get messy in the areas you have to touch to get it off the scoop. I first tried this on the concrete pad and all it did was smear it all over the place. Plus the concrete quickly rips the bag, meaning now you need to wash the poop off the scoop and try to keep your hands clean so you can re-bag. I then went to the grass. I spent all my time chasing down the poop rolling around the yard while I tried to "catch it". Fun. If the poop is the least bit soft, don't even bother. It would not pick up any of the fresh stuff, any of the old stuff, any of the mushy stuff, actually it only picked up one firm pile "as advertised". I agree with those that suggested a shovel or some type of "help" to scoop into the bag. In my opinion this is a very inferior design and definitely did not work for me.

Worked great on my walk this morning. Reference i have a Great Dane 150lbs raw fed. Smaller poops than he used to have and the bags they came with worked great. The silicone piece to keep the bag secure could’ve been more sturdy. And the blade for scooping i don’t like the long piece at the back. You only scoop forward so it should only be at the front. The reason i say that is because i didn’t buy this to scoop poop but to catch the poop. My dogs poo can be soft and scooping out of long grass is a nightmare so i looked for solutions like this to just catch it directly into the bag. The long blade at the back makes it a little harder to get it right under his butt without him noticing so i may cut that off just so it sits a little lower to the ground under his booty. But first use was amazing!!! Before this i with out the bag under his butt then try to drag it as he moved cause he doesn’t like anything close to or touching his butt while pooping except what ever structure he is trying to poop on apparently😂😂. He kept moving but i was able to manouver this more easily as he moved so it stayed under his booty. Caught all of the poop the first time. No doodie stuck in the grass. Happy day.
