ADC Adscope Adimals 618 Pediatric Stethoscope, AFD Tunable Technology

This is such a cute stethoscope, so helps with my smallest clients. The sound I hear through it is sufficient. I am used to using a Littman for adults (actually I’m currently using an EKO), so I’ve gotten use to the “big guns”, but considering the size and the fact that this is solely acoustic (no electronics), I can hear through it great! Very lightweight, too.

I work with kids at a children's hospital and this stethoscope is great!! The kids love to look at it and it always brings a smile to their face, making assessments easier to complete, espcially on the "wild ones" LOL. The little pop on faces are adorable and stay in place. I clean it before and after each use with Clorox wipes. The bleach has had NO effect on the product. This stethoscope's sound quality is just as good as my Littman Cardiology I used when I cared for adults. The ear pieces are VERY comfortable and allow for great listening. Great buy, I get lots of comments and compliments on this at work. I am asked "where did you buy that" almost daily! A must have for anyone who works with kids. I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend who is a nurse. She recently got a new job at a pediatric clinic was really excited, so I was looking for a gift that was fitting.... and this was perfect!!! I was looking at a lot of products-- animal name tags, plastic animal covers, fabric covers for the tube, etc. I really liked this but was concerned as to how well it would work. Lets be honest, it looks kind of childish, so I was hoping that for the price, it would be an effective set of ears and not just a very expensive toy.... THEY TOTALLY WORK!!! It's been a few weeks now and she loves it-- and so do the kids. Its covered in stickers and she makes animal sounds when she goes to bring the bell up. It's not as accurate or sensitive as the Littman cardiologic 2 I use, but, lets be honest, it doesn't have to be. For doing basic vitals, heart/lung sounds, and the occasional murmur, it's perfectly adequate. Also, you should know that the tube is EXTRA long. We ended up cutting off about 8" to make it a more normal length. Personally, I think it's a plus since you can size it to yourself. I'm an EMT in medical school and so I've got plenty of experience with picking a stethoscope.

I have used this for years. Works well and both kids and parents love the animal designs.

I love this stethoscope! I worked in a pediatric clinic and this was always popular with the kids. It sometimes made my job easier when I would tell a scary child that panda or tiger wanted to hear their heart. The sound quality was great. My only dislike is the ear buds would not last as long and would wear very easily. But I have bought this twice.

I work at a pediatric ER, and this stethoscope is the best thing ever. I can hear everything I need to, true to the ADC standard (which rivals Littman by common opinion). The interchangeable faces not only make it fun, but apprehensive/fussy kiddos will actually let me listen when I show them the animal face and tell them Mr Tiger (or whoever) wants to hear your chest. They almost always like stop in their tracks and let it happen! The only design I’d change is the ear pieces are fixed so when the animal face is visible while wearing it, the ear pieces are also faced out which means they hang on EVERYTHING. Super worth it though and an excellent value.

This is a great stethoscope! I currently use an MDF classic cardiology (best acoustics I have found in a stethoscope) and needed a pediatric stethoscope for my job as a pedi nurse and for clinicals for furthering my nursing degree. I am shocked by the quality of lung sounds with this stethoscope. Very good! Diaphram has to be on skin and make sure your eartips are sealed good. Would I use this in cardiac ICU- yes, as a distraction. However heart sounds are soft to auscultation (after using a cardioscope for so long) so would need a bell and feel more comfortable with reliability of a stethoscope with a bell. I would use this for lung sounds in any setting. As long as you are auscultating correctly (on skin, sealed eartips, avoiding rubbing of tubing and thus artifact noise) this is a quality product! Would buy again and again! Just received it so cant comment on longevity or if tubing is stained by scrubs or cleaning wipes, but the distraction of the diaphram itself is worth the mere $40 spent! Quality product for great price!!

Been with this since Feb 2023, saw a colleague with it. I was sceptical that being too fancy, it may not be great with heart sounds and murmurs. I tried it out and loved it. Sound was perfect. The faces became a much needed added incentive. Kids love it esp the panda face. Will totally recommend.

Quality comparable with Littmann. Very lightweight. Kids love it.

I bought this as a student nurse, so I can't comment too much on the quality of the sound. But it's definitely well made and the faces are perfect for use around children, no sharp bits and they're a hit with my flatmates! From what I can tell, this is as good quality as the stethoscopes I've used in the practice room so I'm very happy with it! The ear buds are also very comfortable, an important factor that people might forget.
