Anchor Hocking Replacement Lid 1 Cup / 236 ml, set of 4 lids, red round

I ordered these lids for my Anchor Hocking 1034 1 cup glass bowls. When I got them, they were too small and I could not get them to fit. I started and completed an Amazon return. Afterwards, I received a communication direct from Anchor Hocking advising me that they were sending me the correct covers at no charger. Several weeks later, I received the replacement lids... and they also would not fit as they were too small. I couldn't get them on or if I did mange to get one on, it would pop off in a minute or two because it was too tight. Well DUH, I Google AI and was advised to place the plastic lids in almost boiling water until they were pliable, then slid them on the bowls and then run them under cold water. VOILA!! Perfect fitting lids. I wish I had done this in the first place and avoided all the freaking hassle.

We ordered these as we needed to replace the lids that had been damaged. We’re glad that we’ve made this purchase. They fit exactly the same way as the original ones. We are very pleased with this purchase, plus we have an extra one. Hopefully we won’t need to order any more.

I prefer glass storage to plastic, but the weak point in glass storage units is the lid. They always seem to crack and no longer seal well. I tried both Pyrex and Anchor Hocking replacements and find these to be superior. They seal well, and are of good quality. I definitely prefer these.
