Classic Legendary Vacuum Insulated

My husband had requested something that would allow him to take hot soups with him in the winter-time to work. He drives truck overnight and wanted something that would keep his food hot and be "low tech" and simple. Enter - the reliable Stanley. There's a reason Stanley has been around for a long time! They are known for their quality products. This thing is built tough. All the pieces are quality and will last for a very long time, I believe. The handle would be the first weak point, I would imagine, and it's a very hard, durable plastic fastened with all metal parts. This Thermos fits about 3 soup ladles worth of soup in it, but is small enough that it fits perfectly in my husband's Rubbermaid, cooler style lunch box. It fits perfectly on it's side on the bottom, which allows for room for other items as well (water bottles, snack containers, sandwich container, etc.). It does keep things hot! My husband works 10-14 hour shifts, and we always load this up with soup steaming and right off the stove-top. Even if he doesn't get to eat it until the end of his shift, it's always still warm enough to be appreciated. It does state that it is not dishwasher safe. Not sure why, but we have been hand washing it. I have small hands, and can fit mine inside to clean. My husband has to use a bottle brush to get inside, but it's smooth and easy to clean on the inside. Overall, I would recommend this item for someone in a similar situation! It's worth the price to have something home-made and hot on the road.

Built to be bomb Proof. Keeps my liquids hot and has heft. While I made the false assumption it would fit in my Stanley Lunch pale (both the 5.5 and 10qt), I find it does stand alone so far is my go to for work. No seepage, spillage and holds the right quantity. I will be testing with oats and soups soon. I found cleaning this to be a straight forward task. While I do not have slender hands like I did in my halcyon days, now they are hams because age and lifting things, a good bristle brush and elbow grease gets her GI clean. The lid does need extra care because things do tend to get under that rubber gasket that seals it. Still, I am enjoying this Stanley and it compliments my new lunch pale.

Great product for hot soups or stews. I found it was very sturdy and portable. This is an all time favorite because it is leakproof and lasts a lifetime. I do not need to buy another as it will last forever.

I wanted some form of container that could allow me to eat hot soup at work- twice. The ideal would be one meal about 4 hours in and another 4-5 hours later (8-9 hours after initially filling the container). I tried five different food jars and none of them made it to the 4 hour mark. Then I heard about the Stanley company. They've been around for over 100 years and have a stellar reputation among outdoorsy types. My needs only required surviving the car trip to the office and then sitting in a drawer, so I can't speak to their claims of being super tough and durable, but as far as temperature control, they're aces. This food jar barely loses any heat by the 4 hour mark, and manages to deliver pleasantly warm (not hot) soup after 8 hours, even though at that point it's only half full. I pushed it even further by not preheating it with boiling water before adding the soup and it still came through like a champion. I have used this for miso soup (very thin broth), French onion soup (thick broth), Irish potato leek soup (thick, chowder-like), and a split pea (so thick it's nearly solid). All stayed warm. So have beef pho (lots of large pieces of vegetables), chicken and sausage gumbo (with rice), and udon noodles. I got crazy one day and filled it with couscous right off the stove. It was a bit challenging getting the last of it out 9 hours later, but it was still pretty warm. The container is also very easy to clean. It's a bit heavier than the other thermoses I tried, but not so much so that it's uncomfortable (I'm a not especially strong woman of a certain age). The one and only drawback is that the thermos has sort of a Ralph Kramdon-type vibe to it. It is industrial and practical looking rather than cute, shiny, and pretty like some of the other options. But the cute, shiny, and pretty thermoses had me eating room-temperature soup. I have not tested this food jar with anything cold, but I can say with confidence that it can keep hot things pleasantly hot for at least 9 hours. I definitely recommend this product.

I bought this Stanley to put the lunch on my husband, and overall it's been a good buy. 🥪✨ I use it to send food, soups 🍲, drinks ☕ and even a not-so-big burrito 🌯, and it works well to keep everything at a good temperature for a few hours. I give it 4 stars because it does not keep it warm as long as it promises (it says up to 15 hours), but in my experience the temperature drops earlier than expected. 😕🔥 Even so, it is a useful and resilient product. 💚❄️👍

Wide mouth thermos was a god send for taking soup to the hospital to replace their horrible food. Easy to clean easy to pour and just the right amount

Picked this up to go with the Stanley lunch box and it’s been solid so far. The build quality is exactly what you’d expect—feels durable, not cheap at all, and the handle makes it easy to carry around. The lid doubles as a cup which is actually pretty convenient. What stands out most is how well it holds temperature. I poured in hot coffee in the morning and it was still hot hours later. Same with cold drinks—it keeps them cold way longer than I expected. It’s a little on the heavier side, but that comes with it being well-built and insulated, so I don’t mind it. Overall, simple, reliable, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. No complaints.

Form und Optik sind auch sehr gut, so dass ich an dieser Stelle nichts bemängeln kann. Der Preis geht bei dieser Qualität durchaus in Ordnung. Ich werde mir sicherlich noch eine weitere Aluflasche aus dem Stanleysortiment für Getränke kaufen! kurz: Empfehlenswert!
