Excellent entry steering wheel
Very nice entry steering wheel, definitely better than the Logitech ones. With a strong FFB and excellent shifters to make a good overall experience. If you're able to pair it with a Thrustmaster set of pedals with clutch you'll get a lot better response when driving. I've tried it in several games and it for sure is very detailed for every bump, corner or type of terrain.

And excellent wheel for the price
I've had the TMX for a few weeks now and am quite pleased, using it with Forza 6 and Project Cars. I upgraded from the 458 Spider wheel so don't have any direct comparison to other Thrustmaster FFB wheels. The build quality is quite good, although it's plastic with rubber grips vs. the leather and metal of other wheels. I compared it side-by-side to my son's old Logitech G27 and, while the build quality of the G27 is better, the feel is quite similar as far as smoothness of operation. The pedals are the exact same pedals that ship with the lower priced non-FFB 458 Spider wheel. They're adequate - smooth feel, progressive resistance on the brake, and adjustable angle on the pedals themselves. The knock against them is that the base is not heavy at all and must be anchored somehow to prevent sliding. I attached mine to my home-made rig with screws so no I have no movement issues. The wheel clamp is again the same as the lower priced 458 Spider. It works like it should - nothing else to say. When connected to the XBox the wheel does it's calibration thing and is recognized without issue by the console. It does not show up under "Devices" in the XBox settings menu but functions properly regardless. Force feedback is quite strong and defaults to 100 in Forza. I turned this down to 75 and it's much more manageable for me. Not sure how the FFB compares to a TX, but I assume it's similar. I believe the TX has a fan but I haven't seen nor heard one on the TMX. I've also read that the TX has a "sensitivity" setting; the TMX does not. Rotation defaulted to 540 in Forza and I played around with this, from 180 to 900. The wheel responded as expected, and I left it at 540 because it felt right for me. I haven't played long enough yet to notice any issues like the "pull left" problem that TX owners report in Forza. I also tried both Simulation and Normal steering settings in Forza and the wheel definitely performs better under the Normal settings. Overall, at this early stage, I'm impressed and pleased. The wheel feels good in my hands, the shifters provide a good "click" and the pedals are adequate. The entire wheel assembly feels solid, not "toy-like" as per the 458 Spider. The price ($269CDN) hits the sweet spot for me because I couldn't spend $500 or more on a wheel. I've also just upgraded to the Thrusmaster T3PA pedals which are a huge improvement over the stock pedals that come with the TMX, but that's for another review. Thrustmaster definitely put money into the wheel, not the pedals. I highly recommend this wheel. At this price it can't be beat.
