Are the drawers sitting on built in Solid surface or do they float on rail to slide the draw back and forth ?

It floats on rails with every drawer open to the outside. If you drop it, everything will spill out the back and sides of the drawers. There is not even a shelf between the rows.

Are the inner containers included? In the picture, it looks like there are small bins inside the drawers.

The drawers are included, there are no containers drawers.

Is the 16 compartment cabinet large enough to hold legos? Does anyone have a real life photo of it?

Inner Drawers: 1.75"L x 6"W x 1.50"H Since legos are different sizes some will not fit as they are 2" high. You can google the sizes of legos to see if yours will fit.

Will this work well for a bunch of random drum hardware, tuning bolts, washers, pieces offnof old kick pedals etc?
