I bought this specifically for the player mats as I have the big box version of TM and didn't need the organiser part. The player mats are a must have addition to the game and even better then the double stack cardbord ones.

Terraforming Mars has recently become a popular pastime in our house, and this wooden set is a great addition to the game! The holders look really good, and it all fits really well into the box. You have to pop out the separate components from the wooden sheets, and then assemble the wooden components yourself (using wood glue, we used Gorilla wood glue) but this process is fairly straightforward and the instructions clear and easy to follow. We experienced a couple of issues with the original order but these were speedily resolved, and the customer service and communication we experienced from Olga at Smonex was excellent. Overall, a great addition to Terraforming Mars!

Instructions: Very clear! Above average, even. Assembly: Fun and easy with the right tools. They include rubber bands and sand paper, which was smart. Wood quality: I left the sheets out in 30% RH and they wanted to curl a bit. However, I was still able to glue them tightly in place and fitment wasn't impacted. The color is great! Fit in box: Great, mostly (see below). I love the layout and the multiple holders to position around the table. The tray that holds cards horizontally wants to dump them all out when you lift it up, but I'll get used to that. Card sleeve fit, Length: It's well considered. FFG sleeves (the longest brand) fit without squishing. Card sleeve fit, Width: It's tight. The edges of sleeves stick up a bit, lifting the lid 0.5mm. It also makes sleeved cards fit poorly in one compartment of the insert as you put pieces into the box. I was able to work around it, but if you have every expansion, it could be tight with your sleeve brand. Expansion fit: This appears to have come out before a few of the very recent expansions. Milestones & Achievements are not going to fit if you have a couple other expansions. I only own them and the Preludes, so I was able to fit them where Colonies and Venus were supposed to go (see pic, it's a lot of cardboard). Board fit: There's room for 1-2 boards. They very smartly included a spacer to hold things tight if you only have 1 board. If you have more than 2 boards, you could get by with some lid lift, but note it wasn't designed around that. Metal coins: The space for money cubes is well calculated to fit the original plastic cubes. No guarantees your metal cubes or coins will all fit, but you can always overflow into an expansion tray if you don't have all the big ones.

Everything fits like a glove. The boards are beautifully designed and adds a level of clean to the game. It does take a while to glue everything together but, if I can do it, anyone can. Highly recommended

Dieses Inlay aus Holz ist ein absoluter Hingucker und kein Vergleich zu den anderen Inserts. Es überzeugt mit einer wirklich guten Qualität. Es ist so durchdacht, dass alle Erweiterungen Platz finden. Zumindest alle Teile und Steine. Zu den Karten kommen wir gleich noch. Die Schachtel wird absolut perfekt ausgenutzt und es finden sogar zusätzliche Playerboards Platz, sofern man noch nicht das zweite Brett von Hellas und Elysium verwendet. Die Anleitung ist hervorzuheben durch eine gute Bebilderung in Farbe! Zudem ist sie sehr leicht verständlich und gut konstruiert worden. Das habe ich von anderen Herstellern auch schon anders erlebt. Ein Aber gibt es dennoch: Smonex bewirbt das Inlay folgendermaßen: „alle Terraforming Mars Erweiterungen (Hellas und Elysium, Venus Next, Prelude, Colonies, Turmoil) Entwickelt, um Karten mit Premium-Protektoren/Hüllen unterzubringen.“ Nach umfangreicher Recherche fand ich heraus, das sie Premium Sleeves mit 80 Micorons empfehlen, damit alle Erweiterungen hineinpassen. Ich ließ mir deshalb sogar von einer einzigen Firma 80 Microns Hüllen (Premium) liefern. Leider kann ich nicht bestätigen, dass hier alle Projekte aller Erweiterungen gesleeved jemals hinein passen werden. Ich nutze zusätzlich Präludium und Next Stop Venus als Erweiterung. Sofern noch mehr Erweiterungen hinzu kommen, wird es wohl nicht mehr hinein passen. Aus diesem Grund bekommt das Produkt von mir leider einen Stern Abzug. -1 ⭐️ Desweiteren kann ich nur sagen, dass die Verarbeitung des Materials TOP ist und der Spielspaß hiermit auf einen enormen Komfort angehoben wird. Mein vorheriges TFM-Insert ist in den Müll gewandert, um dieses hier zu verwenden.

Commande arrivée vite et exactement ce que je voulais pour organiser mon Terraforming mars. A monter soi-même, c'était sympa ;)
