I also have a rotating cat feeder but I like this better as each portion is sealed shut. Also it’s not noisy like the rotating one. It’s a shame it only does 2 meals. I’m probably going to get another one.

This automatic feeder has saved me from more than one pickle! The timer works really well to control portions, which is super helpful. The ice pack inside doesn’t last very long, so I wouldn’t leave wet food in it for more than 24 hours. I think the plastic trays should ideally be stainless steel, but it’s good that they sell replacements separately, it helps keep the food fresh. For the price, it’s really good. When not in use, I just take the batteries out so they don’t drain. Overall, a practical and affordable feeder!

I’m a cute little orange tabby princess (my hooman says so!) and I just had to tell you about my new favourite thing in the whole house - the Cat Mate C200 Automatic Pet Feeder. Or as I call it, The Magical Mealtime Machine! 🎉 Okay, so sometimes my hooman goes away for like... forever (he says it’s “two days,” but I don’t know how clocks work and it feels like A LIFETIME). I used to be left all alone with just the sofa, and a crunchy food bowl that got boring super fast, okay well there is the water fountain and the jungle garden with mousey snacks on demand! But now? GUESS WHAT? This amazing little spaceship thing gives me meals like clockwork! TWO of them! One for now, and one for later — it’s like a snacky surprise party that opens itself. I don’t even have to meow dramatically or nibble my hooman's foot to get attention! How it works (from a very smart cat’s perspective): It has these lid thingies that stay closed until - POP! - they flip open when the little spinny timer says it’s chow o’clock! There’s even a spot for a cold pack to keep my food all fresh and yummy. Fancy, huh? 🐾 Perks for a princess like me: • Breakfast and dinner when my hooman’s not here. • I don’t have to worry or panic or meow until I’m hoarse. • It’s super quiet so it doesn’t scare me when it opens - just a little click and tada, it’s CHOW TIME! Bonus? There’s even a spot for an ice pack underneath to keep the food fresh. I don’t fully understand refrigeration (I’m a cat, not a physicist), but I appreciate the commitment to quality cuisine. The only tiny problem is... I can’t open it early, even when I tap it, nudge it, or roll on it dramatically. Trust me, I’ve tried. BUT I guess that means I don’t accidentally eat both meals in one go (whoopsies...). Final verdict? I think this works really well and is very good value for the price. Yes, it's a bit flimsy, but it's also very cheap! Unlike other people, I have found the dials accurate enough and have had no issues with the flaps not opening. I bought an extra cooler for the warmer months as well. This feeder gives me peace of mind as my cat is a grazer and I wanted to be able to give her smaller portions so that the flies won't get at the food during the warmer months.

My husband and I have to often away for a few days as our son lives far away from us. We have a friend who feeds our cat once a day with wet food and leaves dry food for rest of the day. But we’ve been paying £10 a day for it. Then I got an idea why we didn’t think about the cat feeding machine?? I ordered this for wet food and other product which serves dry food. Dry food machine was difficult to setup. But this one was very easy to setup But I did not know that needed one AA battery for it. Ice pack was included so I placed under the dishes. I have seen other products that feeds 5 meals but the dish opening looked very small so I thought this would be easier to cat to eat. Results were very good. Cat ate the food ok. Also we don’t have to pay £10 a day anymore. Saves a lot of money and cat is happy

We bought this pet feeder so our cats wouldn't be starving while we were out for the day. It's been a great success and we ended up buying another one. You can set the timers to a different time or the same times and the food is kept fresh within the bowl. This comes with one ice pack to place in the bottom under the bowls to help wet food stay cool and appetising. It would be good if Amazon would stock the replacement ice packs but we ended up buying some extra ones on an online auction site. The cats were much happier being left with fresh food instead of multiple bowls being left out for them, which get dried out and disgusting over the day. This is very reliable and the timers open the bowls when they're set for. We haven't once come back and found the bowls still shut. The timer takes one AA battery to work. The bowls are very easy to clean. Very pleased!

I bought this for my senior cat in the hope of giving him a "midnight snack" to help with age-related acid reflux. Unfortunately, he was either unwilling or unable to learn how to use it, so the midnight snack ended up going to my younger, far more determined cat instead. One thing worth mentioning for anyone in a multi-cat household is that the lid opens very quietly. While owners may see this as a positive, it may not be ideal if the feeder is intended for a specific cat. My younger cat quickly learned to associate the soft opening sound with food becoming available and would immediately investigate whenever it opened. Meanwhile, the feeder was purchased specifically for my senior cat, who never seemed to make that connection. As a result, the scheduled meal often ended up being eaten by the wrong cat. This obviously won't be an issue for everyone, but if you're buying this feeder for an older cat while also having younger or more food-motivated cats in the house, it's something worth considering. Of course, that's not the feeder's fault, so why only 3 stars? Unfortunately, I did run into some issues with the feeder itself, and I have concerns about its overall durability. My biggest issue was the timer accuracy. I set one compartment to open after 2 hours at around 10pm, but by 1am it still hadn't opened. The battery was brand new, so a low battery wasn't the cause. The feeder is also extremely lightweight. While that makes it easy to move around, it also makes it very easy for a cat to tip over. Even with the ice pack installed in the base, my younger cat repeatedly knocked it over while trying to get to the food inside. Given how light the plastic construction is, I doubt I'm the only owner to encounter this problem. I only used the feeder with cold-pressed dry food, so I didn't experience any spills myself. However, I can easily see wet food, particularly food with a lot of gravy or liquid, leaking if the feeder is knocked over. When left upright, I think it would work perfectly well, but that brings me back to my main concern: if my relatively small cat can tip it over, a larger or stronger cat would likely have no trouble doing the same.

Simple to use, tricky to see if the battery is making the dial move but after a test run you know it does but a great option for over night or weekend trips away

Un producto que me sorprendió para bien en muchos aspectos. Buscaba un comedero automático sencillo y a poder ser sin necesidad de conectividad via app, etc. La primera grata sorpresa fue el packaging del producto: Sencillo, minimalista y elegante. El comedor en si es muy sencillo de utilizar. Funciona con una pila doble AA. Tiene dos bandejas que funcionan independientemente y se pueden programar distintas horas de apertura. El frio se proporciona mediante una placa de frio que se pone debajo de las dos platas de comida. ✅ PUNTOS FUERTES: - No necesita conectividad wifi/app con lo que un trasto menos emitiendo radiación por casa - No necesita de enchufe ya que funciona con pila 🔋 - Sencillez al programar retardo de apertura, sencillamente girando una ruedecilla - Sistema de frio “rudimentario” pero efectivo ❌ PUNTOS DE MEJORA: - Las ruedas del temporizador pueden tener cierto “juego” que las hace algo imprecisas al fijar el retardo de apertura (nunca me ha supuesto un problema) ⚠️ A TENER EN CUENTA: - Hace un ruido como si fuera un reloj temporizador “tic-tac” muy sutil (se puede escuchar en el video). Para mi personalmente no es un problema, pero si hay alguien con el oído muy fino en casa (ej: mi mujer 🤣) podría serlo. - En nuestro caso lo usamos para gato y va genial, pero el cacharrito pesa poco. Positive: The idea of it is good, the mechanic is very simple, it’s easy to use. Large spaces for food and great that you can feed two cats at the same time. Negative: I wouldn’t rely on it. From our experience, as the lids are plastic and there is no rubber between the lid and the base, the food smell is coming through quite strong. So our cats hover around it and start pushing the dials to extend the timer even longer, so they’re not getting actually fed. The ice pack inside melts quite quickly as well so I’m not sure if the food stays “fresh” If you have cats that won’t push the buttons and leave the device at peace, and you just need it for a couple of hours in advance (less than 5-6), this is a great simple feeder. But if you have cats like ours, who are very eager around food and if you need to use it for a little longer in advance (6+ hrs), I would suggest a stronger system (not sure which ;))
