Maglite Mini Incandescent 2-Cell AA Flashlight, Black

We've had a series of mag-lites over the years and have used them for home repairs in dark places (under the house, under the kitchen sink, in the attic), barn chores, car breakdowns, investigating strange noises in the house in the wee hours, and even once when we lost the house keys in the grass at night (the bright light made the keys reflect and we found them!). They're inexpensive, reliable, water-resistant, small enough to keep in a coat pocket, and run on AA batteries. They're perfect for so many jobs, and are so durable. Once in a while we lose one or give one to someone who doesn't return it, but I don't think we've ever broken one. I bought this M2A016 MAGLITE to replace one we lost, and it's every bit as good as the previous ones. The light is bright and long-lasting, and the beam can be focused down to a small area when needed. But the main reason I'm giving this light 5 stars is because it's made in the USA. We try to support American businesses when we can, and I was happy to find that this model is made here.

Even though this is an incandescent Maglite it's still a reliable flashlight. You can update the bulb with an LED replacement. Rule of thumb, do not store with the batteries installed.

Wasn't quite as powerful as I needed..searching bags before football games

We live in an area where a Mandatory Evacuation is just a standard summer activity. These little flashlight sets are PERFECT for your Emergency Kit. They are small, have the battery right there, and easy to just toss next to your bed (Evacuations always seem to happen at night when it is dark out) or in your car, office desk, go bag, etc. For the price you can buy several and have some "ready to go" with the battery inside and then just toss the pack as is (so you know the battery will be ready to go when needed) into your bag. My only advice would be to cut the plastic cuz you know those things are hard to claw into at the best of times. The brand of course is well known. The flashlight seems sturdy enough to handle being dropped several times as you mad dash through your emergency kit for the booze. I appreciate that this flashlight is just that: a flashlight. I personally hate the gimmicky ones with the "SOS" flash that only ties to give you a seizure and is literally never needed. I can't tell you how many times I've been in need of a flashlight and some "helpful" person comes over proudly displaying their little flashlight "And look it does this" *blinds me with annoying strobe* like that's gonna help me find the booze to keep me from screaming and everyone. Worth every penny. Good brand of flashlight.

I bought this for ghost hunting because you can you use a maglight specifically to commune with spirits by turning the light between on and off. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to get it perfectly in between the on and off section. But basically you just turn it on and you slowly turn it off until the light starts to flicker and then you leave it alone and the light will turn off by itself. You can then begin asking questions in a haunted location for spirits to turn on/off the maglight. I've gotten crazy results from this practice with this tool. Additionally, it's a flashlight... It obviously helps navigate the spooky dark locations 😂 And because of it's compact size, it's amazing to pack, store, and travel with!!! Highly recommend for ghost hunting and everyday use!!! 100% worth the price!!!

I love this travel sized flashlight! It's the perfect size to keep in your glove box, purse, or take it camping. Cell phone flash lights aren't always appropriate. The battery compartment also has a spare light bulb nested in the cap! The flashlight itself is made from durable metal, much better than cheap plastic. The light beam is also adjustable from a directed beam to a more diffuse light that illuminates a larger area. You can also remove the cover over the bulb, and the flashlight works like a flameless candle, lighting up a whole room, car interior, or tent. Maglites last decades, they are a reliable made in the USA brand, still made in the USA. Great purchase! Definitely recommend having one on hand for emergencies!

pERFECT FOR LIGHT SOURCE IN BACK OF PANTRY

The color is fantastic and the build is legendary as with all maglites, however this is the incandescent version and is not anywhere near as bright as the LED version ( add $25 to the price for the LED version ). I find that for most things like working behind TV's or on soundboards and etc you can't go wrong. I know everyone's cell has a flashlight app on it but it drains your cell life quickly so if you need a flashlight for things like looking around your entertainment center or finding something in the back of a tool box or vehicle, or even looking under the hood / vehicle then you can't go wrong. They are tough, work well, last for ever ( I still have my first one from 20+ years ago ) feel good in your hand AND inexpensive compared to the LED lights. AA batteries are not very expensive and are used all around your house now. If you don't need to light up a football stadium or see for miles then this light works great. Sometimes the LED lights are way too bright for stage and sound work or when you don't want to light up the whole theater but just the area you are working in. They throw the light plenty far for every day use!

There is 5 star straight away for the built quality. So, I got this torch, thinking it's gonna be super cool. But turns out, it's kinda old-school with a twist to turn it on. The light it gives, not so great. There's this dark spot in the middle, even when I try to make it sharp. Feels like those torches from a long time ago, not like the fancy LED ones nowadays. My mistake, I thought it was LED when I bought it. If you like old school feel go for it.
