APC Power Saving BackUPS Pro 1500 230V

Having used many APC products in my professional life, I wasn't surprised to find the fantastic quality of this product. I was a little confused by the connections and interfaces (a USB to RJ45 cable...really?!), but that may just be because I'm used to the commercial kit. After thoroughly reading the manual though I did get everything setup as I needed. Works exceptionally well with my Synology NAS, once plugged in the NAS set itself up before I even found the options! I was having quite a few issues with input voltage irregularity prior to getting this, but once I set the UPS to it's maximum sensitivity, everything is working perfectly. This capacity will run a four-bay NAS for two and a half hours however, so I'm going to get a smaller unit for the NAS and move this to my main rig setup instead. The only downside is that although you can set the screen to turn off after a set time, there seems to be no way to disable the button LEDs so the unit always gives off a white glow which can be a little annoying at times. As a final note, I had my NAS running straight from the mains for around 5 months prior to getting this UPS and never had an issue; after only having it setup for a few weeks, something blew and caused a huge surge which took out a many other electronics. You really never know when your luck is going to run out so make sure you're prepared, I could have lost 10TB of data if I didn't have this UPS.

I've revised my review after getting new cables for this unit! DO NOT USE K15IEC DOSS Iec Plug to 240V Socket - 15Cm Lead - Iec-C14 Short UPS Lead Ideal for Connecting a Standard Powerboard to a UPS. Noticed that I could hear "sparking noises" when brushing up against the cables or simply moving the unit. It appears the outlet ports are not snug enough for STANDARD power connector cables, so power cuts off if unit is moved or cables moved in ANYWAY. Got new cables and unit works as expected, so glad for that

Ich habe mir die USV APC Back UPS Pro USV 1500VA gekauft, da wir öfters Stromausfälle und Stomspitzen haben. Ich hatte vorher eine APC Back UPS ES 700VA, aber die hat meine angeschlossenen Geräte nicht mehr aufrecht erhalten können, 700VA sind zu wenig für meine Geräte. Daher hängt die alte USV nun am Fernsernseher, um den Fernseher, die Wii, den Sat-Receiver und eine Digital-Uhr am Leben zu erhalten. Aufgrund der Stomausfälle ist unsere Mikrowelle bereits gestorben und musste ersetzt werden. Das wollen wir natürlich beim Fernseher und der Wii vermeiden. Wir haben im Jahr ca. 20 kurzzeitige Stromausfälle, meistens unter 30 Minuten. Aber zurück zur USV APC Back UPS Pro USV 1500VA: Ich hatte mit der USV den ersten Stromausfall, war sehr begeistert, er hat sich sofort angeschalten. Er piept jede Minute um einen daran zu erinnern, dass es kein Strom gibt. Das Piepen kann durch längeres drücken der Lautspechertaste am Gerät ausgeschalten werden. Das Display am Gerät zeigt an, wieviele Minuten die USV aufrecht erhalten kann. Auch Stromspitzen werden sehr gut aufgehalten. Die Empfindlichkeit der USV kann auch angepasst werden, aber die Werkseinstellung ist für mich sehr gut, sie reagiert auf Stromausfälle, wie ich es brauche. Ich habe mit der USV ca. 30 Minuten Überbrückungszeit, weil so viel dran hängt: - Ein großer PC mit starker Grafikkarte, die viel Strom saugt (die Grafikkarte ist an 2 Stromanschlüssen angeschalten) - 2x Monitor 24 Zoll - Notebook (das Notebook hat zwar seine eigene Batterie, aber ich will nicht, dass mir das Netzteil kaputt geht) - Ladegerät für's Telefon - Switch - Stehlampe (habe in der Nähe keinen anderen Strom für die Stehlampe) Sobald ich die große Maschine und ein Monitor runterfahre sowie die Lampe ausschalte, habe ich 50 Minuten Überbrückungszeit. Die USV muss direkt am Strom angeschlossen werden, zwischen USV und Strom drüfen keine Verlängerungskabel dazwischen hängen, da die USV nur schnell reagieren kann, wenn sie direkt angeschlossen ist. Ich kann die USV sehr empfehlen.

Pur avendolo acquistato solo da pochi giorni, le sue funzionalità si sono rilevate esattamente come garantite dalle rispettive schede tecniche che sono pubblicizzate on-line dal produttore "APC". Anzi: - sul piano estetico, è addirittura migliore di come visto on-line, perché essendo dalle dimensioni contenute, nonostante il suo peso - simile ad una piccola valigetta "24 h" - può comodamente stare in un piccolo mobiletto "mobile" : il frontale con il display a "tasti" è poi ben fatto ed esteticamente si addice a qualsiasi ambiente DOMESTICO, anche non prettamente "da sala operativa". - Le funzioni di tale display tramite le quali gestire o leggere l'unità "APC", sono leggibili/regolabili, oltre che tramite i tasti, anche tramite PC, che deve pero' essere necessariamente collegato VIA CAVO all'unità "APC", poiché tale modello non contiene sul retro anche "lo slot/spazio" per inserire una scheda di rete per la connessione WI-FI / WIRELESS: i modelli APC a ciò predisposti sono di forme diverse e non contengono necessariamente anche un display leggibile/regolabile tramite tasti. - Pur tuttavia ci si può collegare via cavo un PC-SERVER - poiché avrebbe poco senso collegarvi i notebook avendo questi una loro batteria funzionante in mancanza di corrente - sul quale PC, l'unita APC è in grado di salvare comodamente i dati in caso di black-out, grazie anche all'aggiunta di un software denominato "POWER-CUTE" da installare appunto sul PC e che monitora il funzionamento dell'unità "APC" se e finchè il PC-SERVER rimane collegato via cavo ad essa (unità "APC"). - Ma le prese di tale unità APC, possono essere usate anche per garantire l'alimentazione, in caso di black-out, dell'impianto di videosorveglianza e/o di allarme DOMESTICO, POICHE' LE BATTERIE DI TALE APC HANNO UN OTTIMA RESA: infatti già tramite display, è possibile da subito sapere L'ASSORBENZA TOTALE (in WATT) DEGLI APPARECCHI COLLEGATI E QUINDI L'AUTONOMIA TOTALE (in MINUTI) IN CASO DI BLACK-OUT. Infatti per chi ha dimestichezza con le apparecchiature informatiche, si renderà conto che è sufficiente collegare A TALE UNITA' "APC" anche solo un buon modem/router internet domestico, idoneo a supportare il collegamento in rete di uno storage / hard disck, collegabile elettricamente ANCHE ESSO all'unità "APC", per consentire così il funzionamento/registrazione delle telecamere di videosorveglianza (pure collegate elettricamente all'APC), SENZA RICORRERE NECESSARIAMENTE ANCHE AL CONTEMPORANEO COLLEGAMENTO DI UN PC SERVER - all'unità "APC" - COSTANTEMENTE ACCESSO TRAMITE L'UNITA "APC". In tal modo si potrà constatare che le batterie di tale UNITA' APC, sono in grado di ALIMENTARE UN MODEM / ROUTER CON UNO STORAGE DI MASSA E CON UNA TELECAMERA, tramite la potenza mediamente di soli c.ca 20 W (VENTI WATT), e cioè per DIVERSE ORE in caso di BLACK-OUT, garantendo quindi un adeguato controllo da remoto dell'ambiente sottoposto a videosorveglianza, in caso di Vs temporanea assenza. - Inoltre tale unita APC, contiene, sul retro, la presa per collegarvi un "pacco batteria" di forma simile, per prolungare l'autonomia dell'unita' APC , qualora vi si volessero collegare più apparecchiature. Sul piano dell'autonomia, delle numerose prese retrostanti, ALCUNE SERVONO AD ALIMENTARE LE APPARECCHIATURE COLLEGATE IN CASO DI BLACK-OUT, ALTRE PRESE SERVONO SOLO A PROTEGGERLE DAGLI SBALZI DELLA TENSIONE ELETTRICA - similmente ad un cd STABILIZZATORE DI TENSIONE - ma NON LE ALIMENTA SE LA CORRENTE VIENE MENO.
