Red dot
Haven't shot it in yet so time will tell if this was a good purchase. I do like its size and ease of use and appears well made. I purchased for use on a 22 pistol with picanty mounts and it looks good. I need to get it zeroed in now to see how it holds up but on a 22 it should not be problem.

It sucks, a lot
So, I bought this as a cheap trial optic for my pistol, so that I could test out a mounting plate I purchased here on Amazon. So, here's the deal. Out of the box it looked solid, sucks that the battery life isn't great and you have to manually turn it on/off, but whatever. As soon as I got it mounted, I installed the battery, and hit the button to power it of. Immediately the button on the right of the optic fell off, stuck to my finger as I pressed it and came right off. No grooves or anything to try to stuff it back into, appears to have been glued on? Contacted Sightmark about this, as I have purchased many other optics from them and have had no issues at all. They got back quickly and said I could RMA it for replacement, which is great, kudos to them. So, before returning it I figured I might as well play around with it to test the sight, the unit will not power off, at all. Followed exact instructions, no luck. Removed the battery, replaced it, unit was off, powered on, and again would not shut off. Not great for an optic that doesn't have any auto shut off to speak of. TLDR: Returned it to Amazon, bought a Holosun 507C XR.

Pretty solid but not great for slim guns
I bought this for a Ruger mk IV, holds 0 great for 22lr however due to the slimness of the gun every time I set it down it engages the power button. Battery life had been great considering its uptime but it's kind of annoying to baby it.

Just as advertised
Hands down the most feature rich sight for the price. Mounted on my FN502. Sighted in easily.

Will not hold zero
This sight is not reliable. Once you have it sighted properly, any jostling that occurs during weapon transfers, like from the range into a sock, then bag, then car is enough to throw the sight off. I thought it was just a matter of re-sighting. Perhaps the last use was different lighting, distance, etc. NO. This thing will not hold zero and requires re-adjustment every single time you use it! I have more expensive red-dot sights. They hold zero. They cost twice as much. But they are worth it in aggravation saved. I would return it, but my “window” has closed. Don’t bother with this one. Buy the more expensive ones.

Horrible
Horribly constructed. I’ve been through three of these sights already and have never been able to shoot more than 50 without it failing. The first one lasted about 15 rounds before the glass fell out. The second one never even been shot but it failed electronically. The third one lasted just under 50 rounds before the glass fell out as well. It’s mind boggling how bad this thing must be made for it to perform so poorly. I’m tired of contacting customer service and requesting a replacement. It takes days for a response and costs over $10 bucks to ship it every time it fails. I figured it was worth a try considering the low cost but I suppose you can’t get yourself a decent optic at this price....at least not this one. On a good note at least the company has agreed to replace it each time with no hesitation but who needs the hassle and cost of boxing and sending it back after 50 rounds or less.

sensitive buttons
i have had a few sightmarks in the past that have been very durable and good value for the money. this one though has a couple of pretty bad flaws . 1, buttons 2, battery life . since this unit does NOT have an auto off feature it makes these 2 problems even worse . you think , you KNOW you have it turned off but the buttons are WAY to sensitive, just lightly laying the gun down will activate them , even when the gun is in a soft side case and the soft rubber cover makes it worse . combine that with a short battery life and no auto off feature and you have a dead optic in a very short time . it needs to have at least a push and hold 1 second to turn on and a 2 second or more to turn off . definitely would not use this on a duty or carry gun ,even for the range toys it's annoying . would not recommend.
