A TEN STAR PRODUCT TO HELP YOUR PET NATURALLY--UPDATE
Maxxicalm is FANTASTIC! I use it for two of my Bernese Mountain dogs. I have a nine year old puppymill dog who is very timid and fearful and I have tried many other products with limited success for storms or fireworks. Maxxicalm is AMAZING; I give him three tablets as soon as I know it is going to start storming or even in the middle of storms and fireworks and he stays calm and relaxed. I also use it to tone down that extra bit of hyper when my three year old Berner, Leonardo, is going to see the kids at a local hospital as a therapy dog. It lets him focus on me and my commands and allows him to enjoy the kids. We often work with groups of young, loud, energetic children and by keeping focused on me and not caught up in the kids ENERGY, Leonardo is able to do the tricks that the kids LOVE. Maxxicalm doesn't make my dogs loopy in any way; rather it is an incredible natural way to lessen anxiety and stress. I have recommended it to all my friends and have posted it to many of my Facebook dog related groups. Since the time I first wrote this review I have lost both my then nine year old Bernese Mountain Dog boy and my three year old boy. I have fostered a one year old male Berner and own an 11 month old Berner. I have used Maxxicalm throughout this entire time. It is the one natural way to help with all the exuberance on an adolescent male puppy. In no way does it cause the dog to become loopy or appear drugged while at the same time it helps with training and focus. Many of my friends now use this to help with their dogs.

Takes the edge off
We rescued a puppy from Louisiana; a few months after we got her we discovered she was heartworm positive. She started treatment last week, and the vet told us she needs to be kept completely quiet and calm for the next 2 - 3 months. Not easy with this girl! She is an absolutely crazy, high-energy puppy. The vet did offer a sedative, but we are not wild about drugging her for that long. Thought I would give MaxxiCalm a try based on the reviews. It has taken the edge off our girl's crazy behavior! She weighs exactly 50 pounds; if I give her 3 it seems to work best. She is much more relaxed and low-key for several hours after taking them. It makes me realize that some of her nutty behavior is likely due to anxiety. They do seem to wear off after about 7 - 8 hours. We have a long road ahead of us but hopefully MaxxCalm will help us get through it.

he feels good enough for his old activities that are still 9 ...
can't say enough: recommend it regularly to friends whose dogs are sick or injured. I see new products around with less of the natural ingredients than is in this. This covers all the bases: don't change a thing!!!!! Still doing great! I sing its praises all the time. the 9 y.o. will be twelve soon and the 5 y.o. is seven and has had both his cruciates done. This kept him smooth during the hurricanes (really all three dogs) last year when he was still in recovery. We've paired the maxxicalm with Swanson's Lactium (aka Women's stress formula) (2:1 ratio) and no one cares abt the thunder and lightening! The below is from two years ago: My husband's a behaviorist and got Anxitane M&L at a conference. It worked well for our 9 y.o and 5 y.o when storms approached. He likes the natural ingredients and looked for something similar. MaxxiCalm is splendid, again all natural: we aren't doing daily maintenance, just as needed. They don't look or act doped up, just relaxed. The 5 y.o. had surgery for a cruciate rupture; a couple in the morning (after breakfast) and again in the afternoon (with a snack) keep him smooth. Three weeks post surgery, he feels good enough for his old activities that are still 9 weeks away at best and is still on VERY VERY restricted activity for at least the next 3. MaxxiCalm is helping with that cabin fever.

Does not seem to make a difference
Doesn't really seem to help my dog through her rain/thunderstorm anxiety. The veterinarian's office (vet tech) offered advice to simply hold and reassure her during a storm, but not too much, or even distract her by playing with a toy. I've also crate trained her, which gives her the most comfort during light storms. 6/25/2015 update: This product just does not seem to help. It also seems to cause my dog to drink more water, causing her to go outside more often, which does not help during a thunderstorm. The vet performed a urinalysis, which showed elevated pH levels. She'll be re-tested to see if the pH levels have returned to normal range. I'm convinced this product may have caused the pH imbalance, and I will not be using this product anymore.

Works fairly well.
Works fairly well. Board small dogs at my home and had a Yorkiepoo who was totally out of control. Owner sent some anxiety med from vet and that did not work so I tried the MaxxiCalm. It helped some but she continued to be anxious and aggressive. I also have been keeping an older Maltese who suffers separation anxiety and whines a great deal really for no reason. Found it works better on the Maltese when I put it in her food at night, but still the whining continues but not as severe as before.

All paws up for MaxxiCalm!
As a professional dog trainer and behavior specialist, I primarily work with dogs who suffer from high anxiety and fear based behaviors that directly impact the quality of their life as well as their humans. I have found MaxxiCalm to be one of my go to products to help ease the dog's daily anxiety so we can achieve success in our behavior modification journey. This supplement has enabled countless dogs to holistically reduce their habitual anxiety so that they are capable of responding to counter conditioning and desensitization training. As with anything in life, there is no magical cure but I have found this supplement to be an important and valuable tool in my treatment plans. And, I must add, that the owners of this company are a joy to deal with. They are passionate in their quest to provide quality products that truly help dogs live a healthy and joyful journey with their humans!

Works better than I expected! Has been life changing for my high anxiety dog.
I was skeptical ay first, but desperate, so I tried these. I am very impressed with how well they work! I have a German Shorthaired Pointer that has major anxiety and stress issues that magnify of he can't get out and work (bad weather). When his anxiety is high he chews on everything, even right in front of me! He loses his mind when I come home, barking and whining and spinning in his kennel slamming himself against the sides. If company comes over when he hasn't been worked all of his manners go out the window. He jumps and barks and knocks people off their feet. I was so fed up! Nothing I tried inside worked him enough to calm him down like field work does. With Christmas right around the corner and crummy weather with it, I knew I had to do something. I ordered this a month before our Christmas party. I started him on the smallest dose and slowly built him up until it was time for the party. The difference was night and day! He was calm and well mannered and quite the gentleman. I was surprised because he didn't act like he was 'drugged' he was just calmer and happier each day. Just like other reviewers reported, he comes and asks for tabs when his are wearing off. He whines at the cupboard and bugs me if I ignore him. He eats the tabs like a treat, no issues with flavor.

Tablets pulverized.
The effects of this supplement are great. I see a noticeable difference in my border collie. However, I’m not thrilled that so many tablets in the bottom of the bottle are not whole or in powder. I’m guessing I had 90 whole tablets out of 120. Not a good ratio!

Yey!!! These work for nervous Labradoodle!!!! Highly recommended!!!
My 33kg dog takes two tablets every day. I started him on one and worked up to two. He thinks they are a treat and happily gobbles them up. He has always (I don't know why) been nervous of people. Not the family, he loves us...but anyone else seemed to scare him. He is a friendly bouncy soul, but had terrible separation anxiety....Not only have these tablets helped with the fear of people, he is improving daily, they have also helped with the anxiety. AND, though I did not buy them for this, he now is really chilled out in the car too! They are not an instant fix, so we'll worth persevering with them. And, the training advice that is sent via email is ever so helpful. But they do really work, I have seen definite results. And any queries are answered quickly with superb advice and support from Asa and Birgir. The combination of MaxxiCalm and consistent encouragement and training have really helped my lovely pooch. I will be ordering them regularly from now on. UPDATE: I have now been using these wonderful tablets with a nervous, rehomed, untrained, unsocialised pup who had fear aggression when on the lead, or in the car...excessive hysterical barking every time she saw another dog when out or looking out car window.... With the help of Maxxicalm and positive training, she has managed to now be at the stage (few months on) where she will happily approach other dogs, with waggy tail and ignore pedestrian dogs when passing. She doesn't bother barking in the car any more either. I know these tablets work, because when I forgot them for a couple of days both my doods were noticeably more anxious (and barky) in situations they have happily been learning to cope with. I no longer give the top dose, but will continue on this lower dose for as long as my two dogs enjoy the benefits. Time to re-order!
