Road Top Wireless CarPlay Interface Decoder for Audi Concert Symphony Radio

I have had this system for 2 years now and LOVE it!! My car didn’t have bluetooth for music and this absolutely changed my life. It sometimes freezes up but other than that it is a great quality. Having my gps on the screen helps out so much. Installation was not super easy but that could have been my car. Overall great product.

The product works great, connects really easily and works very well The only big issue is that it does not work all the time. When it was first installed, it worked great for about 2 weeks and then it started to show lines across the screen on the original and the CarPlay screen (you couldn’t see the screen at all) That happens maybe 30-40% of the time So now when it doesn’t have the lines on the screen it works perfectly but when it has those lines, it really sucks

I ordered this to add Android auto to my 12 Audi Q5. Being it doesn't replace components I was worried about functionality. The install was pretty simple Givin you have installed car stereos before. After installation and connecting my phone the system took off doing it thing and started playing my Playlist wirelessly via Spotify. Navigation and all other Android auto functionality works as expected and it works as well as the $1000 radio installed in my other car. The 1 thing I could complain about is the lack of touch support making it awkward to navigate. Otherwise I'm very happy with the purchase.

After install the module is working correctly but only the steering wheel buttons are functional, the MMI buttons does not work to control the module menus, so if, for example, the passenger wants to select a different song is not possible from the MMI buttons and only the driver can.

For the 2012 A4 install is, or I should say can be, a pain. The car used in the video is simple. My reality was far more complicated. I never did get the glove box out. I guess there is a screw behind the AMI module, and I was not able to remove it. This forced me for the time being to hook up the box down below behind the AC controls, which is a nightmare. You get the box down there and then try to connect the connectors. For those with the issue of not being able to use the AMI controls, you probably forgot the small wire that connects to the new board. You have your ribbon cables, but there is another small wire that must be connected. The new harness that has to be added is sort of too big in my opinion. Lots of wiring to jam in there and it is stiff and tight. I have some concerns. Most likely I will try again some other time, starting with glove box removal, but for now it seems to be working as expected. Just need to mount the microphone, USB, and WiFi antenna yet. Just ran out of light. Probably should have paid someone to do it, but for now, the kids 2012 with the over complicated and lacking head unit is rocking like a modern car.

Worked good initially but as others have noted it stopped allowing me the ability to switch back to the original mmi screen which is completely necessary to do to maintenance on the car and check systems. Also the screen flickers and shows lines when on again as others have noted as well. No response from customer service. Wish I could return.

The module works great. I installed it on my b8.5 Audi A4. HOWEVER this is the SECOND time ive had to order the product (this is not fault of Road Top). Originally I purchased a *Used With Great Condition* version of this module (It was about $100 cheaper) However once it arrived it was a random aftermarket screen with cracks and scratches all over it. Im sure this is amazon getting confused with returns however it caused quite the headache. I HIGHLY recommend to purchase the original product for full price instead of a used version to save yourself the headache of having to return and wait 30 days for your money back. But other than that hiccup the actual new product works great and the wireless Carplay connection is flawless

I got this on sale for 200 bucks, and with a (moderately challenging) self-install it's been worth every penny. At full price and paying someone else to install, probably not. Works as advertised except for two main problems: first, android wireless connection has never worked so I have to use it wired (which is fine), and second, sometimes it just doesn't work. Mostly I've found this to be the case when it's hot in the car (>85 outside), and for whatever reason it won't recognized the wired connection at all. Problems aside, it's a very good upgrade for my 09 A4. Next step is to install a backup camera - which the hardware assumes you have, and switches to a backup screen whenever you put your car in reverse. A minor annoyance, but one I'm happy to live with.

Works great in my B8.5 Q5. Had it professionally installed by a local car audio shop.
